I had the pleasure of meeting dan in texas in 1991. and we sat down and played this song just the two of us. he liked the way i played my 12 strings guitar so we played a lot of songs together. and he became my best friend untill the day he died. and i still miss him. he was a great friend and i still play hes songs to praise hes memory. he is deply missed by hes friends in norway.

I met Dan one day when doing a radio show and he was in town promoting his "Walking the Wire" album. During the interview, I asked if he would do a song using a Guitar my station was giving away. Little did I know that Dan is left-handed and he typically plays 12 string. So he was playing the guitar upside down and backward. He played "One Friend" FLAWLESSLY. I was totally blown away at his talent and humbleness.
