He looks to be in great shape. & has a good look & great voice on him. If I were Vince, I'd hire him as a manager. Not nearly enough of them these days. Which is a shame. They were a big part. Plus, that's another end to a match. DQ's, count outs, run ins, manager interference...there were many ways out back in the day where neither wrestler looked weak. Then you save the definitive win for the end of the feud.

Sid by his own admission was immature and difficult to deal with in his early career and according to Shawn Michaels also knew his limitations in the ring. With Sid u knew what u were going to get and I believe he made the best with his physical gifts and deserves recognition for being a legend in the industry even if he didn't hit the heights his potential merited.
@RabidGerry5 жыл бұрын
Yeah and he's always been honest about that, and you know what? He is still great in my book!! He did more moves than Hogan in most of his matches ffs. Seen Sid do a drop kick in a Japanese match somewhere on youtube against Kerry Von Erich! Who knew he could do that lol
@roryjones60405 жыл бұрын
@@RabidGerry i saw that drop kick. Forget who it was against now. He'll always be a legend to me and doesn't get anywhere near as much credit as he should. Hall of fame worthy for sure
@RabidGerry5 жыл бұрын
Totally agreed man, and he comes across really well in every video I have watched where he's interviewed. I think later in his career he started mixing in a few other moves which was great. He had some epics against Goldberg and both guys had respect for one another and got on well outside the ring which I guess aided the chemistry between the two in their matches. To me, some of the criticism Sid gets is definitely based on a little jealousy. Guy terrified me as a kid, by his look alone! Only appreciate that stuff now I'm older hahaha
@roryjones60405 жыл бұрын
@@RabidGerry I do believe it was against Tatsumi Fujinami and Sid was billed as the Vicious Warrior. He also hit a Powerbomb, when it wasnt quite as devastating as it became and that move where he spins his opponent off his shoulders but in the end he submitted to an arm bar or leg lock. He put in a decent performance especially as he was still as green as grass
@RabidGerry5 жыл бұрын
@@roryjones6040 no way that sounds cool. Is there a video of of it? Wouldn't mind watching it. He gets no credit for much of what he did in the ring, which to be honest isn't really fair considering he did a lot more than say the Ultimate Warrior. In fact Kevin Nash talks about Sid like he was so much more skilled than him where as in reality Kevin Nash could wrestle to save his life, terrible matches he had. Sid was way more entertaining. Hopefully your not a Nash fan 😀 lol

Sid might have had a chance in a shoot. Maybe not the best chance but Sid was somewhat athletic and has a bit of martial arts training. Dan Spivey wasn’t just big, he was very athletic. However, he had injury issues dating back to his days as a football player at University of Georgia. If could have stayed healthy, he may have received a huge push or two. While he wasn’t great on the mic, he was very good and his presence just exuded badass. Looking back, it seems that the various bookers missed the opportunity to use him optimally.
