I agree, although they needed to keep the camera on the prince for a few more seconds after he turned around. You don't get a very good look at his face, and in the original animated version it's a BIG moment. In this movie they cut away too quick. I do agree that the rose petal scenario sounds OTT, but I would like to see it, so I hope it's in the deleted scenes.

The film is very Rose themed,The Prince refuses a rose from the Enchantress and ends up cursed,Belle had a rose rattle as a infant,she has clothes with rose prints,her father always brings her back roses every time he goes out of town,then gets inprisoned for taking one from Beasts castle for her,but he have roses surrounding him in the version we saw onscreen,just with a shirt added,thanks to prudish mom's.

Actually, Airwreka, he did The Heiress on Broadway in 2012 and started previews of Hangmen in early 2019 but then COVID-19 closed down all shows. He is a huge draw for Broadway audiences -- and he absolutely LOVES Broadway. Once the pandemic is over, you can be sure he will once again be thrilled to do a Broadway show.

To me, when watching the movie, one of the most surpising things was Beast singing. Well, then, you should really watch 21-y-o Dan in 2006's "The Line of Beauty". Incredibly sensitive and intelligent portrayal of being gay in 1980's London during the time of Margaret Thatcher's conservative rule and the emergence of AIDS. Very touching performance.
