Oh my GOD! I've seen this movie several times and listened to the CD so many times that I have every song memorized. I have NEVER seen or heard ANYONE sing and perform this song as brilliantly as this. It is a masterpiece of grand proportions. There is no one on the planet that can top Dan's vocals - NO ONE! I never listened to metal (I'm 70) until someone recommended that I listen to Dan. The first cover I heard of his was The Sound Of Silence and I've been hooked ever since. Love, love, love this man - body, mind and soul. Thank you for your wonderful reaction and analysis - you really do "get" Dan Vasc in all of his glory. 💖💖

Dan can sing ANYTHING! This rendition of this very emotional song is amazing! Thanks for the reaction! 💞 And he's such a nice guy! 😊 (Also, Dan uses no auto tune. Black Pegasus says that has perfected recordings to the point of eliminating the natural imperfections of the human voice & it's hard to get the emotion of the natural voice. I think that's what makes Dan & the top a capella groups able to pull you into their performances so strongly. When you hear Dan, it's DAN! Not some robotic machine! And it's wonderful to our ears & hearts! 😊)

What a great review! This is a real tour-de-force from Dan, and everything you say is spot on. The masterful way he uses all the different qualities and registers of his gorgeous voice is phenomenal - that metal edge on the phrase "Nail me to your CROSS and break me" shatters me every time. And then add in the commitment, the emotion, the stage presence and charisma, and you have, as you say, a mind-blowing performance. For another glimpse at this side of Dan's artistry, please have a look some time at The Music of the Night - another stage-like performance, non-metal, perfectly straight. I think he could walk out of his studio in Brazil and onto any Phantom stage in the world. And yes, Evanescence, Nightwish, and all his other female covers are also superb. You can't really go wrong with Dan. Thanks very much!

I really like your reactions. I have listened to many reaction videos by voice coaches and singing teachers, and so many of them seem to be in love with THEIR voices, and get way too technical, using terms that a lot of us don't know or have difficulty understanding. You have a way of explaing things that are understandable and really get to the heart of things. I really do appreciate that. I am no music expert, I know what I like, and to me, Dan is a musical genius! He can sing anything with power, emotion, subtleness, range, and more. I never fail to be impressed by him. For you.... keep up the good work. I keep looking for new reaction videos that you do, especially with Dan's covers. There is no one else that can touch him.

I never thought I would be listening to metal music at the age of 66. Then he came in! I never thought there would be someone I could "support" after Bon Jovi! Super talent given by God! I hope I can listen to it "live" one day! I read somewhere that it was mocked that he has many fans from the older age group! Maybe we can no longer enjoy quality music? /I hope it's not banned!/ It has a particularly good effect on my heart function! I'm addicted! You are an exceptional talent!!! I'm not even a fan of Jesus Christ Superstar for personal reasons having to do with the script & character portrayal aspects of the musical, but I wanted to see Dan's version, regardless. Purely judging Dan's performance vocally and theatrically, it absolutely blew me away. He nailed it. Actually, as is often the case, Dan's version is better than the originals. Even Ted Neeley, who played the part for so long, isn't near as captivating as Dan in this song. Dan definitely could do stage performance quite easily. I tried to see if you had reacted to Dan's version of Music of the Night from the Phantom of the Opera and didn't see a video. If you want to see another theatrical performance, that would definitely be the next one I'd suggest. He did an outstanding job on it, as well.

I suggest that you react to his Evanescence cover of My Immortal. Also his covers of the Nightwish songs Sleeping Sun and Ever Dream. Another great one is his cover of A Tale That Wasn't Right by Helloween. It's different, but kind of mesmerizing. For a lot of fun, his cover of I'll Make a Man Out of You from the Disney Mulan movie. Looking forward to more.

Dan Vasc and Ted Neely, both great performances..... But you owe it to yourself to listen to the original rock opera performance by Ian Gillian of Deep Purple, it does not disappoint. Cheers
