Nice reaction! Like you & Slowfud, in the past I couldnt listen to much heavy metal either. But then I stumbled across Dan. I love how he updates old songs with passionate growls and screams, exactly where the song needs it. Newbies might enjoy listening to his 2 Priscilla's Song songs. 1 is totally traditional and the other is "updated". He also has quite a lot of songs that sound traditional but have been updated perfectly by Dan, like Belinda Carlisle's Heaven is a Place on Earth. There are .any true traditional songs in his playlists, like , I See Fire, Loch Loman, Scarborough Fair, More Than Words, the Elvis Trilogy, Love Me Tender, etc. He updates Christmas type songs with strong powerful rhythm and vocal, into EPIC songs to play year round. Oh my, then there's his Opera songs. So strong & beautiful. And his duets. (Beauty & the Beast, The Last Goodbye, ... titles are escaping me, atm, but the songs dont. His heavy metal song with Eric, Breaking The Silence is one of my faves and so Sabaton's songs like The Last Stand. Black Wind Fire & Steel is totally metal & fascinating to watch. His NSP songs are fun to watch. His Bohemian Rhaposdy takes the cake. Spectacular entertainment. I've only just begun & am already out of paper. Wake Me Up is a must listen. Ok, I'll stop after this next run on sentence. I promise. Manowar, Dragon Force, Evanescence, Within Temptation, Queen, Bon Jovi, Journey, SteppenWolf, Led ,Zepplin, Metallica, Angra, Shaman (OMG, Fairy Tale!!!),

After hearing your assessment of this (which I think is very good), I'm thinking you will REALLY, REALLY, REALLY love hearing Dan sing "Black Wind Fire And Steel" feat LUIS MARIUTTI (Manowar Cover). When you do react to it, be sure to let it play out at the end. For one thing, Dan's outros are quite famous with most of us...we love them. For "Black Wind," it's REALLY important, because it talks about how and why Luis (who is also Brazilian, and you may very well want to check out HIS channel) did this particular song WITH Dan. I was never much in the metal genre because normally their screams messed with my ears, it was my problem. Nowadays since becoming familiar with Dan's metal covers and also his own material...I became a metal head, mainly when it is him doing the singing. I got some of his cover albums in my phone and walk or frive at the sound of them. So, welcome to Dan's rabbit hole and have fun. By the way, loved your reaction!

I was never into the screaming either. That's what really turned me off to that genre. But like you said Dan is different, especially on the cover songs I've reacted to so far. “He transcends genres.” Insightful comment. Indeed! Dan can sing anything. All the Witcher covers are great, if you’re a fan. Since it’s getting into the Christmas season, try Angels We Have Heard on High. He does lots of metal and rock, and also folk, Broadway, movie songs (a Phil Collin’s song from Tarzan!), and opera. He also takes pop songs like Adele’s Rolling in the Deep, which I never thought much of, and turns it into a terrific song. You may be frequently surprised by Dan, but you’ll never be disappointed.
