What a masterpiece from Dan and his guitarist Garrett J. Peters. They turned a sad song into a metal anthem. A wonderful collaboration between both artists. Dan would have been able to perform the whole song in its original form. He proves that in this short moment of the video. I never saw the movie Titanic, I just didn't like it. I don't think I missed anything. It may have been a blessing or maybe even a curse for Celine Dion to have to sing it over and over again. Ha! The hair is “a thing” and it’s so fabulous! You can see that Dan loves belting out this song in a way SO different from Celine’s version - but that’s what he’s known for. Garrett is so incredible on the guitar and many of their notes do match - great that you noticed it. As some have said, Dan's version would have melted that iceberg, LOL. Great reaction to a stellar performance by Dan and Garrett. While Celine has a beautiful voice, this sad song was transformed into a powerful anthem, which is right up Dan's alley. Thanks for featuring him again and I do hope you will continue with his covers of Burn Butcher Burn, Song of the White Wolf and Priscilla's Song (metal cover) from the Witcher series. They are all uniquely Dan. I look forward to more.

I figured you were going to enjoy this one. I haven't heard a single person yet who hasn't liked it. My husband and I live with our youngest daughter, her husband, and their eight kids, on a small hobby farm. Everyone sings. We were all waiting on tenterhooks to see what Dan would do with this song. You should have heard Judi's third down (who just turned 15 on June 3), when we all got together to listen to this, on the day it was posted. He was singing along, and hit (and sustained) the now-famous Eb-6 that Garrett hit in that part you mentioned. Isaiah (who's voice is rapidly changing, these days) can still REALLY get up there, and he LOVES to scream right along with Dan, because he CAN. That was really fun -- we all cheered him on. Every time Judi or I play it (often), the kids all gather, and sing it with all the fervor in their young hearts. GOOD STUFF! 😀 Thanks for the great reaction, Zack! 🥰🤩

For years and years i hated this song - every time it's played on radio i switched it off... This is the first (and only) version i'm in love with - can't stop listen ^^. @anjanettejansenvanvuuren6495 -- I was going to say the same thing. He JUST got his new computer running the way he wants it, yesterday. I'm betting that if we all make it a point to ask him, He would do another Fan Project with this song, as he's done with "Last Ride of the Day," "Everdream," "Bring Me to Life," and "Heaven is a Place on Earth." Since Dan did this one in the same key as the original, even though the rhythm is faster, the slow part could be joined together, at least. If anyone could do it, it would be Viking, I think. 😀

Thanks for your cool reaction to Dan and Garrett's kickass song! I was never a Celene fan. She has a nice enough voice but I just wasn't into her type of music. I'd pretty much cringe when Celene's song came on the radio and I'd switch stations. But Dan's version...........YES! He makes a tired old song rock! 100X better!

Great reaction, thanks. Dan is respectful to the original, keeping the words and most of the melody. He even switches briefly back to the original tempo just to show that he could have sung the whole song as Celine did - and it is in her key and octave, by the way. But then he does Dan things to the whole thing (great arrangement by Dan and Gabriel), and turns a sad and weepy song into a brilliant anthem of undying love. And Garrett is great as well. I enjoyed your reaction. More Dan, please. Burn Butcher Burn will astonish you.

Wow... I think the grin is showing an opposite attitude from the original. As everyone says it's the difference between being put to sleep and being woke up. He seems to be expressing some happiness, joy, satisfaction if you will. It's Luke he is excited knowing that they will go on!! It's a much brighter joyful version.
