Just gorgeous, as you say. Thanks so much for playing this beautiful piece. I’m a classical music and opera buff from way back- in fact I’m coming here late because I was listening to the weekly live radio broadcast from The Metropolitan Opera House in New York. Dan’s beautiful voice, expressiveness, excellent Italian, and solid technique combine to create a really moving performance. Bravo! We should remember, however, that Dan’s real loves are metal and hard rock, so here are two suggestions, both combining different voices; ranges, and vocal techniques: Burn Butcher Burn, and My Heart Will Go on. BTW, there’s LOTS of non-metal stuff on his channel. He sings plenty of metal covers, which are obvious, and when he “metalizes” an ordinary song he always states that. So there’s no need to anticipate that he’s going to add metal unless he says so. When he does, his musical creativity and charisma really shine. Thanks so much! 🎶

My stars. Besides what we already know about Dan: his pure power, his incomparable enunciation, his beautiful, beautiful voice... I also note these two things: 1. His incredible RESPECT to the song and the genre. He didn't try to make this treasure something fun and different. He approached the song with the utmost respect and care. 2. His emotion. Towards the end, he was tearing up. Music is at its core emotional. Dan feels this. He embraces it. He channels the music and becomes the music. If I could sing like Dan, I would never stop. Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with this man and his breath-taking talents.

I was fortunate enough to have seen Pavarotti perform this in concert in early 90s while living in Houston. When I heard Dan perform Nessun Dorma, I sat there with my jaw dropped, absolutely amazed & a bit teary-eyed myself. This performance bkew my mind. If you love this, you're also going to love his duet with Ren Stillnight performing the Andrea Bocelli/Sarah Brightman song "Time to Say Goodbye."
