Dan Watters' 'Nightwing' is a MUST READ

I like how Batman’s story is becoming hope instead of vengeance and Nightwing helps him with that. Nightwing is quickly becoming one of my favorite heroes.

Dan Watters has potential to be one of the best comic writers on shelves. His work on Arkham City: Order of the World caught my attention first and now I’m always interested in what he’s doing

Love how you frame Nightwing's crime fighting as a performance Showmanship could actually be a valuable weapon against crime, baddies get so outstyled they'll think twice next time, AND victims get uplifted by the show of effortless heroism

I thought it was fine. Nightwing is characterized really well though, he’s finally got some anger again. I can’t lie and say that I love the art though. The fight scenes are incredible but it looks pretty ugly whenever there’s not action. The villains are cheeks though.

I'm not a big Dexter Soy fan, and the last time I remember really liking Nightwing was the Dr. Hurt/Damien Wayne issues during Rebirth, but I'll be happy if the book goes back to being about crime and doesn't include Neron or the '80s era Teen Titans.

I agree it's a great comic. I have nothing to add because MNstash covers the issue extensively and covers all aspects of the storyline. Great job. It's a shame we can't get Dan Walters to do "ASM". Speaking of Spidey, even though this is a 'Nightwing" issue video, I have a correction to make about "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" cartoon. After doing some research, the Spidey suit Norman Osborn gives Peter in this cartoon, it's his Future Foundation suit. I'm no familiar with this suit, but I wanted to acknowledge what this cartoon is doing. I went back and checked out "The Spectacular Spider-Men (TSSM)" and the comic continues to be terrible. I'm surprised Greg Weisman is writing such awful Spidey storylines. Spoiler alert. In the "Miles Morales Spider-Man (MMSM) " comic, Miles is a vampire. In "TSSM" Miles being a vampire is downplayed and he's a partner to Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Now Miles suffers from the same thing Peter does. There's this new female Superhero named Juliet who changes into Air, Fire, Earth, and Water. In issue # 10, Peter and Miles are fighting the two Electros, and Juliet has to save them. Plus, Peter and Miles have "Coffee Dates at the "Coffee Bean" where Peter meets a Sally Avril (Who?), and Miles is still flirting with Kamala Khan. Miles is supposedly dating a different superhero, and Peter tells Sally, he just wants to be friends because he's with Shay. There's also a group talk session where another female superhero comes who is sent from Dr. Strange, and they have to go into some kind of demon world where its all-girl bosses, IMO. Where that storyline concludes in issue # 11 I should have stuck to my promise to myself and not follow this garbage. When Peter tells Sally he's with Shay, he's holding Sally's hand at their table. When Peter was with Gwen and MJ, he never went to meet another woman for coffee. Peter had sort of a triangle with MJ and Gwen, and MJ and Felicia. However, he dated them monogamously. Why would Peter opt to meet Sally if he' so much into Shay? It's very stupid for Miles and Peter to call each other Spidey in "TSSM". I brought Spidey up because again we see how good comic writing leads to great storylines like in "Nightwing # 120". Its hopeless for "ASM", "ASM 2", "TSSM", "MMSM", and "Spider-Boy". It's not only bad writing, but the lack of consistency between these titles. How can you have Miles being a vampire, but not biting anyone for blood? Its horrific writing. He's at a BBQ at Falcon Cap's house in the "Falcon Cap" issue and wants his steak rare because he's a vampire. It's just disconcerting and depressing how Marvel ruins Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Let's hope Dan Walters continues to write great storylines for Dick Grayson/Nightwing. I'll have to accept the only good Spidey comic is "USM". Nothing is going to change with the other Spidey tittles, especially "ASM". Keep up the great work. Cheers!

Oh I defo keep away from spectacular spider-men, I have that comic a chance and I can’t even read it for the sake of videos it’s so boring and substanceless, Nightwing has somehow for the most start stayed really consistently fun and enjoyable! Minus a few arcs where the quality severely lacked, his comics have been one of my favourites! Thank you for the support :) I’ve a daredevil video and a Superman review coming out soon!

I think Batman has always been about hope but he never really explored it his reason for being Batman was about hope and no kids goes through what he did in a way that is hope hoping for a better world for a better Gotham and nightwing just builds on that more he’s the best not Batman but one of the best in hero’s in dc
