I’ve owned many of Dan’s products over the duration of my audio journey and found them all to be exceptional performers with very impressive build quality. The Analog Bridge is a brilliant concept that works exactly as Dan describes. I have the XLR balanced option because my system is 100% full differential balanced. It is also 100% unity gain all the way to the amplifiers so the Analog Bridge works as a buffer between my relay controlled ladder attenuator and my amps. I’m lucky to have a large collection of tubes to roll to my liking which is a fun part of the hobby. I must say that it is probably the most transparent tube component I have ever owned (it is very clean!) yet it still provides that tube magic I enjoy. Like Dan says “It does no harm”.

Having heard this system I can attest to the fact is works as advertised. It's on my list of upgrades down the road. Appreciate your sharing this system with me.

I’ve had the Analog Bridge for close to 1 year and use it between my preamp and amp. It did not add any noise at all and gave me a little more warmth and body. I’ve had a good time tube rolling and the rectifier tube does make a difference. Thank you for a great product.

I don't have the bridge yet, but I tried a "Princess" rectifier tube in a headphone amp. It was the best improvement of all the tube rolling. It's fun if you have the time and patience.

That is a great rectifier! All of our products can use virtually all of these!

More than a tad reminiscent of the famous Musical Fidelity X-10d "missing link" tube buffer. Good ideas always come back round again.

Yes, with a modern ModWright Edge.

Indeed. Much more refined and introduces tube rolling made easy for folks who don't think they look good in white gloves. The impedance matching angle is good, too. I like it. I am already of the opinion that valves suit certain genres, jazz and acoustic, and solid state is great for music needing big dynamic swings. I do it by moving from solid state amps to tubes with an amp switcher, but your idea is simpler. Good job.

@@jimfarrell4635 Remember the Mu-Fi units had a separate X-PSU to keep the transformer away from the valve circuit. That's been "refined" too😅

Would there be a sonic difference if a dac and a phono preamp were connected to the 2 rca inputs vs keeping the current connections to the main preamp and placing the bridge between the preamp and the amplifier? I’m using an all solid state system

If you want the Analog Bridge to serve all of yopur sources, then I would connecte it between preamp and amp. If you only want it to follow your digital but not analog, then I would put it before the preamp. Installing it between the preamp and amp does insure an ideal impedance match to the amp because the output impedance of the Analog Bridge is very low.

$3000 and $4000 for xlr.... Out of My League, but I still ave a few Musical Fidelity x10d and X-10v³ tube buffers in secondary source support positions. Anthony Michaelson of MF said they added "the ineffable magic of valves"....Call it fluidity? (My tv runs through a '10d;-) I've since graduated to sepate tube preamp and SS units depending on my "flavour" preference. Pretty sure that some folks would call the 6sn7 sound a distortion . The sound is probably richer due to second harmonics, no? I am running two 6922 tubes and a 6sn7 with 5u4g rectifier in my Musical Paradise MP701 mk2 preamp. Rolling capacitors is also fun....those MW Truth caps look interesting. Are they available in 2.2uf/400v perchance? 🎵🎶🙂🎶🎵

At this price point it does not make sense to me. If you have that kind of money to spend you should have matched your system better in the first place. If you don,t you can buy a very good pre-amp instead or even a system.

Of course tube rectifiers sound different there is little to no PFC , After that anything that matches impedance is GREAT!!
@carlitomelon461024 күн бұрын
PFC? PFC stands for power factor correction, which is a set of techniques used to improve the power factor (PF) of a power supply circuit. PF is the ratio of real power to apparent power, and a higher PF indicates more efficient use of electrical current. Thx Ai

@@carlitomelon4610Yep is very fashionable to use Tube Rectification when its only advantage is adding fragility . Remember when appliances begin sporting that energy star that was Power Factor Correction.... In short our grid doesn't produce a signal that can effectively be used by the items we plug into the wall socket... But the better Class D amplification includes PFC inherently.
@carlitomelon461016 күн бұрын
@@thinkIndependent2024 Class D? Meh 😕 There's already too much RF in my life. Besides aren't all preamps class A?? Anywho...I'll use SS rectifiers on the SS amps and energy star on the TV and fridge. Thanks 🙏

@@carlitomelon4610Sorry you misunderstood Power Factor Correction is a ratio of the current and voltage being in phase... Some very simple parts fix the problem I build my own power supplies for both Class A Tubes and Solid State. This problem goes back to Tesla and Edison I do PFC correction on all my now my audio setups give life size 3d imaging I've found the opposite all of music has been buried and various types of noise including vibration.
