Dana said weeks ago that the fight at sphere is love letter to the Mexican culture. Already rumors of Max vs Topuira as main event , O’Malley vs Merab co main . Grasso was supposed to defend her title there since she is Mexican and the champion. It’s going be 1 and done event so it’s going be massive with or without Connor. Tickets will be expensive and PPv will be expensive as well.

So basically he’s saving money in fighter pay to make up for the money he’s putting into this thing 😂 I love most of the Mexican fighters in the roster that I’m aware of, but there’s not a whole lot of super famous ones that bring a lot of attention, which means their show money isn’t that high. And no way they’re adding a Conor paycheck on top of that overhead.

I still stand by what I said 2 over 2 years ago. Conor won’t fight anymore. His best years are long behind him. No doubt he’s the biggest draw and he is a $$$ spigot but once he fights and gets absolutely destroyed by Chandler, all that ends. just like most mma fans, i'm almost over with accepting conor vs chandler, is ever gonna happen -- plus don't believe anything that comes outta the mouths of all 3 parties [CM, MC, UFC/ DW], or that the way this has been handled by dana/ ufc, isn't the biggest clue in which what they haven't said, added to their lack of enthuseum to get their cash cow/ biggest commercial ppv draw, back for the 1st time in multiple years [while the few next closest stars like jones, izzy, nunes, valentina, volk, stipe, masvidal, diaz's, usman, khabib, olivera, etc. -- have all either grown older or fell off from p4p/ iconic championship runs [of even own divisions] -- at a time where there is no obvious generational/ universally marketable fighter, to headline crown jewel events like ufc 300/ msg, sphere, fight week ppv's -- besides the furthest thing from a conor [or even a jones/ cormier/ joanna/ chael/ ronda/ cowboy/ etc.], where ufc300 had double digit past champs on the best card ever [from early prelims to main event], yet struggled to announce the last few fights, which just happened to be at top of the bill & dana's face got more red as more time passed with only hopes of a miracle recovery from injuries, or a top prospect stepping up to demand that bright of a spotlight, or past icons like gsp/ khabib/ brock/ cormier, agree to comeback for a company that sold for billions off their literal & physical blood/ sweat/ tears -- while neglecting majority of 600+ roster of independent contractor fighters, without any union to negotiate $12k deals, profit sharing of ppv/ ticket/ advertising dollars that made dana mega richer from the already billionaire Fertita brothers putting their repeated money invested, where dana's once thirsty mouth was given the initial $2m. to buy the ufc, then backed up with $50m. more over the number of years & great effort it took to grow the sport/ ufc, into a profitable & accepted entity -- otherwise as great a feat dana pulled off eventually -- would've ended up like the rest of failing mma organizations that's came before him, or he's bought out or crushed any other mma alternative "competition" that was bigger than the local grassroots scenes that serve as his feeder systems to poach their best talent to grow his roster.. you'd think with dana now worth 9 digits himself -- he'd be quick to pay it forward to his fighters who became stars as they fought out bad contracts, that only a handful over 30yrs grew powerful enough to demand bigger piece of the proven ppv/ gate/ crossover reach, stats they did to qualify at top end of their multi fight deals, only if they're champ of main event ppv, & then win for other half of pay, & probably no % of ppv they broke own record from last time they fought.. cuz if you're a veteran who finally made your own break, but still not a champ like all the guys you're bigger than -- like jorge masvidal who just ko'd till in london, flatlined askren in 4 seconds, & has been company man for over a decade -- dana will still only offer you what he figures you must accept as by far your biggest payday, & only game in town where you can make few million as they keep making even more off your brand.. otherwise he'll replace your title shot at next big ppv, while you sit at home with no job, holding out for what you think is at least fair worth -- that jorge only was offered when the fight was in jepordy, & he's only 1 who can come in late to save the big payday they're banking on, & will still make way more by paying him his # to fight 6 times at this rate.. so if dana is flying to ireland and has no answer to why he wasted time to cancel conor's big media rollout the very next day, as he flew back in his jet, then the relationship is no longer in his control, to expect conor to be a good partner like when he wasn't actually an equal.. so i think this is now up to only conor, like it has been the last 2 yrs
