Cejudo is 33. Cruz is 35. Kudos to these top notch pro fighters that last as long as they did. Cutting weight is perhaps the worst enemies healthwiase to these athletes. To unify the belts ? Again an interim belt is not a real world title belt unless the actual champion is defeated or stripped and etc. Technically if he beats Khabib, the interim belt that he holds right now will be recognized as the official world title belt and the old one of khabib becomes a souvenir that he can nail on his wall. You cannot be a unified champ in one division since ufc has a one champ policy per weight class.

Dana is a good politician but he is most definitely not happy with the retirement. Cejudo is a character, marketable, and a great exciting fighter who is in his prime and has recently become a two division champ. To retire on top like that is great for cejudo but not for business.
