This doesn't give enough of the story; the drunk guy went on, and on, and on intentionally provoking Mike. And, he got physically closer and closer to Mike, and if I recall finally hit Mike with a water bottle. And, Mike didn't "beat the shit" out of the idiot. He only did a few very short "rabbit punches" to get the guy off of him. Had Mike hit the guy with only (one) real punch, the guy would have been unconscious for the rest of the flight. He got exactly what he deserved. Go Mike!

In Germany, if you are drunk, you LOSE all of your legal claims for damages. The first thing they do at the hospital is check the alcohol level in your blood.
