This was the likely plan from the very beginning of development. I was just wondering if they were laughing at us who were mad at Mogh when Mogh was the one Miquellested. @@apolloisnotashirt I'm just glad Mogh beat the charges, I no longer have to hide that he is my favorite boss. His music, his motiff, his lore...is Master level design. He is one of just a couple of bosses, who I felt actually mattered to the plot. Most of the game feels I am just pruning the family tree, and for like no reason too. Everyone hates Marika, yet everyone just tries to prevent you from fixing the destruction she caused.

The problem with Miquella's path is that he would create his world of compassion by stripping people of their free will. He may have the best interests of everyone in mind, but a world without free will, even a paradise, is not one worth living in. This is why Ranni's path of darkness and uncertainty is still the best ending.

Radahn is not resurrected to his prime. He is amplified beyond his prime, by Mohg's body (bloodflame) and Miquella's power.

@@bennelson8667 Yeah, but not by gameplay design, in that aspect Midra and Messmer are better: an hard and fair boss is a good design, an hard and only fair in phase 1, but that also requires the player to go trial and error learning every timing (like Malenia for example) isn't that good of a design. I'm not saying it's not a good fight, it's up there as one of the best fights in the game, but not by design And honestly the lightning effects aren't a problem at all in my opinion

I know some people beat this boss solo and even no hit, but this one is my favourite because it is a true fight, he is taking damage, the summon die, the boss shows his whole skill set, so for me, it feels authentic, he is not using shields and cheese builds. it’s like a pretty good show to rewatch this fight without playing the game again at again, and Im personally not against summons. (Take note that I commented this when almost nobody beat this boss and it was before any patch)

use armor, buffs, talismans, and items to increase your damage negation as much as you can. I use the dragoncrest greatshield talisman, marika's braid, plus golden vow, the all damage negation bubbletear for the flask and the crab meat before the fight. I'm on +15 fragments and my damage negation can get to 75 to 80 with everything applied, and i can take quite a number of hits

I'm glad their plot failed, because they would have made a horrifying team. Just think about it. A peerless warlord with control over gravity and whose mere presence invokes respect combined with a wise sage who can make anyone fall hopelessly in love with him and whose mere presence invokes adoration...turned GOD. They could have easily misused their powers and become unstoppable tyrants. On a random side note, I wonder if Godfrey ever fought with Marika on his back like this. That would hav awesome to see.

This is a fight that truly takes everything. Courage. Skill. Patience. Agility. Adaptiveness. Positional Awareness. And yes.. even luck. Everything you've ever learned in every FromSoftware game you've ever played is key in this fight. I couldn't have asked for a more glorious end boss.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Most fun I've had on a boss in any game. This is what I imagine when I fight a god. You had to use the dodge, block, jump mechanics, learn his moveset very carefully, experiment with builds, what works, what didnt work. I've tried at least 6 different builds with all kinds of small changes between those. Tried tons of things that I never really tried before, so it was a fun experiment session. It's a shame so many people dislike the fight, purely because "grrr hes too hard, I don't see shit." Thats the point that he's hard. You see a lot less than maybe any other boss fight, but you can still see what he's about to do, and you can still learn with trial and error. His second phase is also very balanced for summons. His mirage attacks go to the non-aggrod attacker, and his normal attack to the aggrod, for example. I couldn't imagine a more fun boss for the DLC than this.

At 2:49, you can see Radahn's burning red flame overpowered by Miquella's Golden aura. Radahn's "Great Rune Burns", and yet, shortly after the instant his spirit returns (3:03 - Miquella says at long last you are returned) Miquella has charmed him for his own purposes.
