Hi Dan & Anna. In Malaysia, most weddings be it Malay, Chinese, Indians or other ethnics the weddings are mostly large where we invite from as small as 200 people to 2000 guests. Half will be family and the rest would be guest of parents, bride and the groom. The dhall curry gravy consists of lentils, carrots, potatoes and the aubergines/brinjals/eggplants. BP Biryani is one of the most delicious and so good you get to enjoy it!

Kampung Baru is not the only malay traditional area in KL. U can go to keramat area too..lots of malay food too..not many foreigners know about keramat area...its not far from kg baru. You should explore

Good morning..i read the sign of the restaurant..it says ‘asli’ meaning authentic baryani from Batu Pahat which is in Johor..no wonder it looks nice…thats where u will find delicious ‘fusion’ baryani…its not like Pakistani or Indian biryani…their is a twist in the herbs use and the gravy mellow to local taste buds…gosh i have yet to try this restaurant 😅..thank you Dan and Anna for sharing…Dan please dont eat all the herbs (especially cardamom or ‘buah pelaga) they are there for the aroma not so much for the taste…😅

About to suggest they try nasi kandar and also lamb soup. The one nearest to scarletz is sup haji abu and nasi kandar jamal mohamed, restoran pelita near klcc, nasi kandaq pak menakan in kampung baru but my favourite is kudu bin abdul in chowkit. These are the places i've been too so cant suggest others i havent tried.
