Like sausage that should also be well done. But when we look at "Käsespätzle" we have no idea how to make it properly. Rather, we have to do something to avoid having it. "Käsespätzle" can be found here only in a pack of spaetzle like the cheap ones you buy at Aldi, the onions are only slightly warm in a pan and when the spaetzle is warm, the cheese doesn't matter, it's warm then you're done. But "Käsespätzle" is usually only available in the south of Baden-Württemberg or Bavaria. And everything is freshly made and always comes with a salad. But it is also better in summer when you eat outside in the Biergarten......🥰😍

Geiler bahnhof.

The onions look as if they have been frightened by “death”. Spätzle (egg noodles) with cheese is a dish from the south of Germany and the dish looks much more appealing there. The onions need to be fried until golden brown. The Nuremberg sausages look exactly the same. In southern Germany you might get shot if you serve it like that.

These are not real Käsespätzle. As a Swabian I can tell you this. The Spätzle noodles are not handmade (geschabt). And no cheese sauce, it's a no go... The cheese has to melt over the Spätzle and make long strings when you put it on the gable. The onions were not roasted enough.. Also the Spätzle.🤓

It is Pasta/Noodles with Cheese, not just Cheese with meldet Onions. Those Noodles are short Spaghettis and no Spaetzle. It might be sold as "Kaesespaetzle", but it's not. It's Spaghetti with Cheese Sauce and melted Onions.

@@dananna8614 Well, you can buy this particular dish you had with spaghetti at our grocery stores, as a convenience product. So that wasn't a valid real "Käsespätzle". Because Spätzle are way thicker. A variant of Käsespätzle is Käseknöpfle (Cheese Buttons, literally). It's the same dough. Those thin spaghettis can't cover this amount of cheese. I presume that you could find the real Käsespätzle on one of the Berlin Christmas markets. Could be at Europa Platz (the distroyed church) or at one of those at Alexanderplatz.

Unfortunately, this was very bad food. I would have sent it back. If someone offers "Käsespätzle", they should have also original freshmade Käsespätzle and not Spätzle noodels from a packet with a cheese sauce. The onions should also be fried crispy. I could tell from a distance that the mashed potatoes were an instant product. Max. 3 out of 10 points for this meals. Käsespätzle are prepared like this: Fresh, thin dough is scraped into boiling water with a knife. This creates thin, long strips, the Spätzle. Then you take the Spätzle out of the water and put them in a pan with butter. Then you add the cheese and cream, fry it lightly and stir until it is well mixed. Meanwhile, in a second pan, fry the onions until they are golden and crispy. Then put the Spätzle on a plate and put the lightly salted and crispy onions on top.

Both mouth watering dishes... Sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, gravy, sausages, perfect... Käsespätzle indeed is the german (superior) version of Mac&Cheese, and it usually is served with roasted onions... they must be more brown and crispy than yours, then it would be perfect!

@@dananna8614 Wikipedia says: "Mett (German: [mɛt] ⓘ), also known as Hackepeter (Northern Germany, Eastern Germany and Berlin), is a preparation of minced raw pork seasoned with salt and black pepper that is popular in Germany. ..." At the german Wikipedia-site you also get told, that in West-Berlin it would be called "Hack" or "Mett" and in East-Berlin "Hackepeter" is common. But this I can't confirm. Everyone, who was born in West-Berlin called it "Hackepeter". You should also have a look at a "Mettigel" or "Hackepeter-Igel", which could be a bit surprising for tourists :)

From AI: Five Guys is considered expensive primarily because they prioritize using high-quality, fresh ingredients like 100% beef patties, fresh-cut fries, and a wide range of customizable toppings, which contributes to a higher cost compared to other fast food chains that may use frozen or less premium ingredients; additionally, their generous portion sizes, particularly of fries, also factor into the price point.
