Funny side note... we have a relative from Berlin visiting us right now over the holidays, and I asked her if she knows the Schildkröte restaurant... she doesnt, but that restaurant must be very close to the place where her late husband worked, so she knows where it is located. She said she will check it out when she is back in Berlin.

@@dananna8614 Im Osten Deutschlands sind Dresden und Erfurt meine Lieblingsstädte, aber auch die Mecklenburgische Seenplatte ist wunderschön. Im Süden sind Freiburg ( Baden-Württemberg ), das Berchtesgadener Land, die historische Kleinstadt mit mittelalterlicher Architektur Rothenburg ob der Tauber und München empfehlenswert, aber auch im Rheinland gibt es wunderschöne Orte zum Wandern - vor allem in den Weinanbaugebieten.
