Kurt's songs and albums really brought out the "post-hardcore" from the band. Always felt they had the most emotion in them during that time.

I never get over how Kurt always pulls through for these guys, especially after they kicked him out of the band too. He always gets to play the bangers he wrote with them years ago. If anyone deserves vocals for DGD I want it to be handed back to Kurt. My only concern is how well he'd be able to keep up with Tilian's vocals. That's something I see only Andrew doing well at the moment. Regardless of the outcome, I'm glad I can still experience this sound through Royal Coda.

Listened to a podcast with Kurt a while back. He said that he wasn't really kicked out of the band, Will wasn't happy with the band and was gonna end it but they had 1 more record on their contract so they were gonna bring back the original lineup to meet that requirement then break up. Kurt was cool with leaving cause he wanted to do something else anyways. So they have always been cool cause it was mutual

He was never kicked out, hes great friends with Will, and hes better than ever and not unreliable. Heres to hoping. Longshot is jonny which he did comment on their post which you never know. Me crying reminiscing on the first time I saw them right around the time happiness was released. There were maybe 50 people in the crowd at The Aggie in Fort Collins, CO. Tides of Man opened for them :')

im so sad this tour didnt come to cleveland. ive only gotten to see them once live and i had a broken foot at the time so i couldnt go into the crowd. also this is my favorite song(and album) of theirs, tillian was crazy talented, but this just sounds so much more "right" to me if that makes sense. thanks for sharing this

Don't get me wrong, I love the Kurt Travis Era now. However, I was 14 when this came out and I remember thinking damn Jonny Craig's signing sucks now. It took me awhile to realize Jonny was out of the band and Kurt replaced him 🤣. The Tillian Era is my favorite, however the Kurt Travis Era is very underated

Tilian makes sense, they have a unique sound with him and also it's just the pure amount of albums they have with them that lets people get attached to his sound. Kurt's my favorite, but tilian definitely deserves it if he's someone's favorite. As a vocalist anyway. As a person Kurt is the only not bad one

tbh their sound has gotten more stale ever since Tilian joined. You can see such clear progression and genre shifting across all their albums up until probably Mothership, and since then their style hasn't changed or evolved much and it's mostly due to catering to the poppy sound that the Tilian era fans like. It's not necessarily a bad thing; Artificial Selection is my favorite album by DGD, but you could pluck any song from Jackpot or Afternurner and pop it on Artificial Selection and it would fit right in

Like I understand the bias and preference, I too consider Tilian to be the best match for the band and that no other can quite replace him But c'mon, this is Kurt's OG song, the band did some change to their regular setlists and provided a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness something fairly new, and everyone killed it and provided an enjoyable show regardless of what one's preference might be If you don't have anything but comments that make you look like a dick, keep it to yourself because everyone else is having a real good time.
