@@oliviawade1151 Abby might have won a lot, but they mostly went to the same competitions, because they know eachother and most of the competitions were faked, especially in the last 2 to 3 seasons or there were just not a lot of people there, so they asked the audience to go to the front and sometimes asked the audience to go to the place, the girls sit for awards. Abby was an okay choreographer, but was very manipulating, belittling and unfair to the girls on camera, but the show is very edited so nothing can really be proven, I guess. Unless, if the moms have confirmed otherwise, (which they have, before). Aisha seemed determined, hopeful and a little disappointed at the time, but who can blame her? I would rather have Aisha, as my dance teacher, she's like that hit of reality, that sometimes hits you hard, (which we all need every once in a while). But that's just my opinion.

I think these girls thought they were bigger stars than they actually were. Sure they were on a popular reality TV show but they were more famous for being little kids on a TV show than as outright dancers or actors. And I am sure some director would balk at hiring people with such overbearing parents. As with most reality TV stars, when the cameras were turned off and they were no longer cute then they faded away

Aisha was completely correct. She was being nice and polite. The moms are so drama hungry for everything that doesn’t even involve them. This is for the girls sake not theirs. Thats why abby loved maddie. Maddie had that drive to do it at all costs. To learn a dance in an hour. She didnt care, who she was learning from, where she had to go, or how much time she had if it meant she got an opportunity to dance she did it. Maddie held dance to a higher esteem in her life that the other girls. Which is no shade to them, not everyone is going to be a person who is raised with that much training and full immersion in dance. But thats why she was abbys favorite, she did every private, never missed class even when she was sick, got homeschooled so she wouldnt miss competitions, would go cross country for dance and acting opportunities.
@MsJubjubbird4 жыл бұрын
I thin it's fine if you don't value dance as much as the Maddies of this world. But then you can't complain when you get told off for not trying or don't get given all these solos or lead roles ahead of those who eat, sleep and breathe dance and face adversity as something to be overcome. At the end of the day, casting directors care about how well you do in front of them. Not your personal excuses.

Let's be honest, Maddie practically lived at the studio because her home life sucked. Her parents divorced and her mom was running around with another guy who was still married, kids see all that, they are smarter than we think. I think part of Maddie's drive came from pain and being from a broken home with a lot of conflict. I'm glad she had dance as an outlet, but the rest of that stuff is sad.

I dont think that's valid because the girls tall back to abby all the time. That doesnt matter. You should act accordingly in a situation like that. No matter what has previously happened before
@tabortoothtiger75805 жыл бұрын
@@jodimatthews2755 but what if you're new to that type of situation and you DON'T KNOW how to act around it? The girls were going through a very rough transition. Imagine going most of your life doing something one way and then suddenly everybody is telling you to do it a different way. You don't change over night. Habits don't change over night. Especially for teenagers. Teenagers are just learning how to change in certain situations. They're transitioning into adults. We all go through the faze of not knowing how to change and struggling with it. The girls have spent so long being talked down to and being told to stay quiet and not make any comments, they've been shoved around a told to act a certain way and were abused, so yeah, they're going to take time to change. They're still babies in the real world. It doesn't happen all the sudden. I think ya'll are forgetting just how old these CHILDREN are. Not every child is going to be made for the industry and now looking into the girls futures, I think Abby really ruined it for them, because clearly a good chunk of them aren't interested anymore. Honestly, I agree with Aisha in some aspects, but if she was going to step into a teacher's role she should have expected some resistance from a group of teenage girls who were taught a certain way to act since they were literally 3 years old. That's what happens. These girls ARE going to have to face the real world and all of it's criticism, but they're also new to it so you can't expect them to instantly GET it, ya know. They're going to make mistakes and they're going to fail, because failure is something that'll happen in everybody's lives no matter how hard we try to stop it. I just think with all that these girls have already been in through, people need to cut them some fucking slack when they're transitioning. They are fucking CHILDREN, after all.
@MsJubjubbird5 жыл бұрын
Most dance places make you be silent. Imagine if you are working for a Broadway show or the metro ballet and you start complaining. Those directors do not mind screaming and yelling at you or just telling you to go home if you raise one eyebrow of complaint. They need to toughen up. Perfect example of the real world industry. Your casting director could not care less about how you feel or why you didn’t do something they asked. They’ll just fire you on the spot. Everyone in that room got a taste of what the industry is really like. It can be ugly but it’s what happens. Casting directors don’t care. They want results when they ask for them, and if you can’t provide satisfactory results, they’ll kick you to the curb on an instant. They won’t cuddle you, help you out, ask you why, or even care about how stressed you are! Period. Have thick skin or do something else with your career

I started dancing at the age of 3. I did mostly Ballet but I completely agree with her. There moms did way too much. And they were all pretty unprofessional. Expect for Melissa and Jess. They did right their her kids and got them out of the “Dance Mom “ and into the professional world.

okay so, I don't think these girls mean to be rude by not looking at Aisha. They have to dip and do their dance in an hour, and they aren't in their costumes so they need to get their makeup done, instead of watching Aisha rant. Aisha was right though.

honestly, i think the moms behaviors has really rubbed off on the girls. at the end of the day its about the dancing, not 'how much time you get to rehearse' and 'oh she gets a solo and i don't.' they are getting older, and the moms are teaching them the nasty behavior of not being grateful for what you get in this world. maddie learned solos 30 minutes before performing, she would take advantage of the oppertunity to dance and would rise up to the occasion under any circumstances. i'm not making assumptions, but i feel like in this clip, maddie would be paying attention. the other girls may have had abby teaching them wrong, but they need to quit being so stuck up and do what they came to aisha to do, which is dance.

Lily Cortes in the industry, they were. You’ll get fired on the spot if you don’t even have the decency to look your director in the eye when they talk. Scratch that, you won’t even get hired in the first place.

I really felt like the girls needed to hear this even if they weren’t paying attention because maybe one day they’ll realise she was right. Abby was awful, however one thing she was right about was that the Industry isn’t easy and it’s not sugar coated for anyone or made easy, just because you feel a certain way or want it to go a certain way doesn’t mean they are going to drop everything or sympathise, it’s show business. I just think these girls got to the stage where they felt so entitled and as if everything was just handed on a platter to them. They had fame from such a young age and did have opportunities handed to them that a lot haven’t or had to work a lot harder for with no platform. When these guest choreographers came in and told them similar things abby did they hated it because it was the truth, they were humbled, you have to work hard to succeed and make it in this industry especially getting older and wanting to stay relevant.
