@@oliviawade1151 Abby might have won a lot, but they mostly went to the same competitions, because they know eachother and most of the competitions were faked, especially in the last 2 to 3 seasons or there were just not a lot of people there, so they asked the audience to go to the front and sometimes asked the audience to go to the place, the girls sit for awards. Abby was an okay choreographer, but was very manipulating, belittling and unfair to the girls on camera, but the show is very edited so nothing can really be proven, I guess. Unless, if the moms have confirmed otherwise, (which they have, before). Aisha seemed determined, hopeful and a little disappointed at the time, but who can blame her? I would rather have Aisha, as my dance teacher, she's like that hit of reality, that sometimes hits you hard, (which we all need every once in a while). But that's just my opinion.

I think these girls thought they were bigger stars than they actually were. Sure they were on a popular reality TV show but they were more famous for being little kids on a TV show than as outright dancers or actors. And I am sure some director would balk at hiring people with such overbearing parents. As with most reality TV stars, when the cameras were turned off and they were no longer cute then they faded away

Aisha was completely correct. She was being nice and polite. The moms are so drama hungry for everything that doesn’t even involve them. This is for the girls sake not theirs. I wish they’d all shut up for a second. The girls should’ve just listened. They have been brainwashed by their mothers to be stuck up. Good thing it left when they got older and they are all wonderful now.

Thats why abby loved maddie. Maddie had that drive to do it at all costs. To learn a dance in an hour. She didnt care, who she was learning from, where she had to go, or how much time she had if it meant she got an opportunity to dance she did it. Maddie held dance to a higher esteem in her life that the other girls. Which is no shade to them, not everyone is going to be a person who is raised with that much training and full immersion in dance. But thats why she was abbys favorite, she did every private, never missed class even when she was sick, got homeschooled so she wouldnt miss competitions, would go cross country for dance and acting opportunities.
@MsJubjubbird
@MsJubjubbird 4 жыл бұрын
I thin it's fine if you don't value dance as much as the Maddies of this world. But then you can't complain when you get told off for not trying or don't get given all these solos or lead roles ahead of those who eat, sleep and breathe dance and face adversity as something to be overcome. At the end of the day, casting directors care about how well you do in front of them. Not your personal excuses.

Let's be honest, Maddie practically lived at the studio because her home life sucked. Her parents divorced and her mom was running around with another guy who was still married, kids see all that, they are smarter than we think. I think part of Maddie's drive came from pain and being from a broken home with a lot of conflict. I'm glad she had dance as an outlet, but the rest of that stuff is sad.

I dont think that's valid because the girls tall back to abby all the time. Remember how kendall screamed at abby that she hates when gets yelled at, ramen when nia told abby that she'd be better if she got more opportunities, or also when McKenzie said that the routine wasn't competitive? The girls have spoken back to abby so I'm not entirely sure if it's all scripted or they just dont care.

Why should Aisha want to hire your kid who she knows doesn't give 100% and is disrespectful? LA is a small town and word travels. You want your kid hired? ALDC BOSS LADIES I love how there is no replies on these comments disagreeing with you, because the moms and girls were being disrespectful and towards the end of season 7 it was really apparent that they didn’t care anymore. I found it kinda annoying that with every new teacher they got they would tell a sob story about Abby but the other teachers were doing the exact same thing, it’s called giving critiques to make them better and the moms just expected that they would win with practically no training or classes.

Maddie can handle whatever life throws at her because Melissa was unwilling to coddle her when Abby or dance was hard. I can see the benefit in what the other moms did but I do think because their girls want so badly to be in this industry Abby’s harsh, sometimes even cruel methods are something each of them will have to face and like Aisha said their moms won’t be there to do it for them.

I agree with Aisha. These girls have done some amazing things under Abby's guidance, (they have done some amazing dances, some of them have risen in the music and acting world, they are making names for themselves) and they are all beautiful with special and unique gifts....but they are really still babies in the dance world. They haven't really started to fly yet, and Aisha is being gracious enough to give them her time and wisdom and experience and I watched them as she was talking to them.....not ONE of them was looking at her. Not one of them gave her respect and paid attention. They were doing their makeup. Aisha is not just a common dance teacher from some podunk town.....she's danced in very good company with MANY of the brightest stars in Hollywood....her name has been seen everywhere. @tabortoothtiger7580
@tabortoothtiger7580 5 жыл бұрын
@@jodimatthews2755 but what if you're new to that type of situation and you DON'T KNOW how to act around it? The girls were going through a very rough transition. Imagine going most of your life doing something one way and then suddenly everybody is telling you to do it a different way. You don't change over night. Habits don't change over night. Especially for teenagers. Teenagers are just learning how to change in certain situations. They're transitioning into adults. We all go through the faze of not knowing how to change and struggling with it. The girls have spent so long being talked down to and being told to stay quiet and not make any comments, they've been shoved around a told to act a certain way and were abused, so yeah, they're going to take time to change. They're still babies in the real world. It doesn't happen all the sudden. I think ya'll are forgetting just how old these CHILDREN are. Not every child is going to be made for the industry and now looking into the girls futures, I think Abby really ruined it for them, because clearly a good chunk of them aren't interested anymore. Honestly, I agree with Aisha in some aspects, but if she was going to step into a teacher's role she should have expected some resistance from a group of teenage girls who were taught a certain way to act since they were literally 3 years old. That's what happens. These girls ARE going to have to face the real world and all of it's criticism, but they're also new to it so you can't expect them to instantly GET it, ya know. They're going to make mistakes and they're going to fail, because failure is something that'll happen in everybody's lives no matter how hard we try to stop it. I just think with all that these girls have already been in through, people need to cut them some fucking slack when they're transitioning. They are fucking CHILDREN, after all.

Most dance places make you be silent. Imagine if you are working for a Broadway show or the metro ballet and you start complaining. Those directors do not mind screaming and yelling at you or just telling you to go home if you raise one eyebrow of complaint. They need to toughen up. In my opinion. What’s sad is Abby made these girls like this she prepared maddie for the real Industry and rubbed her success in the other girls faces which wasn’t fair to anyone maddie was put under lots of pressure and stress form a very young age and the other girls where belittled and bullied which cause a rift in friends for everyone and it all Abby’s fault. (And then it makes their mothers scared to tell them the truth when they aren’t dancing to their full potential as all they get is bullying from their dance teacher so they get told by mommy no your amazing yr the best everyone else is nothing compared to you and cause the mom hate the privilege that one kid get over the others (even if it’s not maddie) their whole relationship and group dynamic is terrible)

I’m not sure they want to be professional dancers anymore though. Also I’m pretty sure Kendall and camryn are still in high school or they just graduated and the other girls are fresh out so they’re still pretty young.

I have worked in stage management in the UK for many years, and the girls need to hear this. They will have some level of success due to the Dance Moms format, but if the mothers start bad behaviour on any studio or backstage area that is under my domain, they will be asked to leave. Despite the amount of people that want to work in show business, it is a very small world. These women WILL lose these girls work. Dealing with them will not be worth it. No one is bigger than the show!

You do realize that this was a SHOW, right? and the moms were required to be there and cause drama. The girls knew very well these weren't actual dance competitions, and they weren't actually in an audition situation.

The girls needed to hear this. The mothers aren’t hearing it. Those women are the biggest obstacle to their careers. Stop using Abby as an excuse for your minimum effort. As someone who has worked around professional dancers since the mid 80s, it cuts no ice!

The reason they were all doing make up while she was talking is because they are on a time crunch at these competitions. They can't stop everything. The competitions for the show were done in a matter of an afternoon because of child labor restrictions rather than the full day (or sometimes full weekend) that other competitions have. They needed to be getting their hair and makeup done

Time crunch? Sure. But someone who is as involved in the industry as she is should be given eye contact at the VERY LEAST! You’re just making excuses which she just said not to do. They should have stopped and showed proper non-verbal language to indicate that they weren’t just hearing, but understanding the lesson she was trying to teach them. And even if they were in a serious time crunch so they could stop what they were doing for not even 3 minutes, it would have only been oh their benefit to do so with someone like her.

Perfect example of the real world industry. Your casting director could not care less about how you feel or why you didn’t do something they asked. They’ll just fire you on the spot. Everyone in that room got a taste of what the industry is really like. It can be ugly but it’s what happens. Casting directors don’t care. They want results when they ask for them, and if you can’t provide satisfactory results, they’ll kick you to the curb on an instant. They won’t cuddle you, help you out, ask you why, or even care about how stressed you are! Period. Have thick skin or do something else with your career

honestly, i think the moms behaviors has really rubbed off on the girls. at the end of the day its about the dancing, not 'how much time you get to rehearse' and 'oh she gets a solo and i don't.' they are getting older, and the moms are teaching them the nasty behavior of not being grateful for what you get in this world. maddie learned solos 30 minutes before performing, she would take advantage of the oppertunity to dance and would rise up to the occasion under any circumstances. i'm not making assumptions, but i feel like in this clip, maddie would be paying attention. the other girls may have had abby teaching them wrong, but they need to quit being so stuck up and do what they came to aisha to do, which is dance.

I really felt like the girls needed to hear this even if they weren’t paying attention because maybe one day they’ll realise she was right. Abby was awful, however one thing she was right about was that the Industry isn’t easy and it’s not sugar coated for anyone or made easy, just because you feel a certain way or want it to go a certain way doesn’t mean they are going to drop everything or sympathise, it’s show business. I just think these girls got to the stage where they felt so entitled and as if everything was just handed on a platter to them. They had fame from such a young age and did have opportunities handed to them that a lot haven’t or had to work a lot harder for with no platform. When these guest choreographers came in and told them similar things abby did they hated it because it was the truth, they were humbled, you have to work hard to succeed and make it in this industry especially getting older and wanting to stay relevant.
