I really like the way Cheryll treats girls. You realize she teaches with respect, carefully. The way she knows how to deal with Chloe and Kendall and her insecurities is very nice. They'd probably still be dancing if they had a teacher to take care of them while teaching.

Imagine coming out of: 'don't be cry babies' to 'it's okay to be vulnerable'? I wanted season 8 with Cheryll as a teacher. It would be amazing. The end of the video with them supporting each other was something I would have loved to see before. I feel like they fought several wars alone when together they would have had better results. this might be the most wonderful video from dance moms. It showed how Abby emotionally abused them and teached them its not ok to cry and gave them so many breakdowns and insecurities, i literally started crying from this vid because i think every teen now can relate to how stressfull things can be and how easy it is to be insecure, i love Cheryll so much because she's trying to teach them its ok to cry, its ok to be vulnerable its ok so be insecure its ok to be a KID thats something Abby never will realize, that these people are KIDS that arent supposed to handle such things.

The saddest part is when Kira starts talking about how the moms watched the kids be emotionally abused for years, and never did anything. Sometimes it seems like to the moms it was always a reality show (yes, things got real, but in the end the moms knew that it was all fabricated and hyped up), but to the girls it was real life. Their childhood was ruined and the mom’s couldn’t see that until now. So so sad.

This scene shows you the reason why after Abby got sick, no one, except Jojo came to see her in the hospital. even then, Abby said that her old team was lying. When was she going to own up to all the abuse she inflicted on them? I bet her own mother did this to her. Having a contract with this show did not help either.

Parents make mistakes, they may have thought keeping their kids there would make them stronger as ppl but it just left them bereft. Hard lesson to learn but now they can work on themselves and teach that lesson to their kids 1 day. Don't bow down to a bully

Cheryl Burke is the BEST thing to happen to these girls. She got them to realize their worth instead of constant tearing down. All of these girls have said was that they wanted to make their dance teacher proud and Cheryl Burke acknowledges that and tells them that they are amazing dancers but still tells them how they can improve in a respectful way.

You can really see the effect Abby's abuse had on these girls and how much they have to unpack, unlearn and learn. That they're good enough, that it's okay to be vulnerable, that they're talented and worthy and that they're not going to be punished for being themselves, not going to be punished when they make a mistake. They have to get to the point where they can feel emotion and make mistakes without flinching or anticipating verbal assault. I'm glad they had a safe space to do that finally.

I will never forgive Abby for what she did to Chloe. Chloe was one of the best on the team with natural god given talent and she could have been even better had she been treated the same way as the favorite, but because of Abby’s jealous hatred, she made her lose her passion, stop competing, and eventually regress only to come to this. I hate seeing Chloe like this. Seeing the extent of what Abby did to her. I can only imagine how unstoppable Chloe would be if she had a better teacher from the start that didn’t ruin her mentally and actually helped her grow her skills. “I just want her to go away” truly broke my heart. Chloe deserved so much better. Chloe was Chloe and she was enough! She was good!

You can see how much the moms ACTUALLY get along when Abby's not tearing their friendship apart. I mean look at how Jill comforted Chloe and told her that she wasn't a crybaby, and how Christi smiled and their interactions in general. They rarely got along at the ALDC because Abby made a competition out of EVERYTHING in and outside the studio.
