I think it’s just so the full costume is clear to the judges, it’s why they wear so much makeup onstage also 😊 they do get judged for the costume too

It wasn’t a bad solo, but for Chloe’s standards, it was one of her weaker performances this season. She didn’t give any facials or emotion whatsoever, and although her technique was good, she didn’t have any energy or precision in her dancing
