Plus, the girls trained at Aldc and most of the rest of them come from really good studios. The OGs were chosen not because they were the best dancers in the whole country, but because they were passionate dancers from Pittsburgh. Abby brought other people in who are supposed to be some of the best in the country. And I love how Pressley was kinda giving Lilly the side eye and sounded a little annoyed when she said "Yeah, you're really advanced, anyway"

Yes the new team is made of stronger dancers. But they need to understand that: 1. dance moms wouldn’t be a thing without the ogs so they wouldn’t have been in that show and got famous without the ogs 2. Abby is a really bad dance teacher and they have always done what they could with what they were given and honestly did really great 3. The ogs groups dance are better to watch than the new team groups dance because the ogs actually danced as a group when the new ones are dancing individually in group dances 4. Dance moms came to the ogs girls when the new girls came to dance moms 5. The new ones got perfect training for years and then left to get the fame abby brings (which is a win win situation because it makes abby look like a great dance teacher and the girls get the fame without having to go through abby’s bad teaching) when the ogs were stuck with abby’s lame teaching 6. The ogs were passionate about dance when the new cast is just obsessed about the business part of dance 7. Yes lilly, you dance better than Maddie did in season one for the simple reason she was 8 and you’re 11

If you compare the OG’s to this kids, they actually are better. These kids have better technique, facial expressions at the age of 10-12 than the OG’s did at that age. Remember that the ALDC is not the best dance studio out there. These kids were handpicked by Abby, because they afe the best of the best of their generation

Lilly really annoyed me in this for some reason. I think she didn't mean that they did bad. She was just wondering how old they were and thought that maybe they were 10 yo so the same age Lilly was in this clip. She was wrong about their age but she doesn't have to know all the dates and facts about the old cast - especially when the first season came out when she was 3 so obviously she couldn't remember that well.

I hope these kids know that they will never have the impact that the OG girls did. Friendships were formed through their seasons that can overcome _anything._ Christi and Melissa have even recently spent time in the same room. And Kelly! After this run of the show, I wouldn’t doubt that most of these kids will never see each other again. The audience *loved* Chloe, Maddie, Kenzie, Nia, Paige, and Brooke. Chloe and Maddie were iconic duet partners and even danced beautifully after they got in a big fight. The group dances they did are still being talked about now. And the new mothers will never have the beloved dynamic that Christi and Kelly did. The season 1-4 girls were practically friends from the womb. And it shows in this season that these kids just met each other. It’s wild to me that this group seems almost entitled, like they think they’re better than the OGs.

My 5 Friends most people don’t realize how young the OGs were. Lily is the youngest on the team right now, and she’s 10. Kenzie was 6 when she started! Brady and Hanna are both 14, and Brooke was only 12 I think. I quickly calculated it and this season’s average age *so far* is about 12. The very first season’s was around nine and that’s without Kendall who was on the younger end. On top of being much older, these girls are literally trained professionals back to attend dance competitions. Maddie, Kenzie, Chloe, Paige, Brooke, and Nia were only just beginning. There were some weak links on that team; Mackenzie was so, so young, and Nia and Paige were not the best technically at the start. However, all that being said, I have yet to see any of these kids turn like Chloe could at age 9.
