valentine2000 I get the sense that, for the first couple of seasons anyway, Melissa’s headspace was different and she was genuine in her friendship with Abby. I mean, I think the favoritism certainly assisted in that, but still. And then as the years went on and Maddie started gaining fame and work and they needed Abby less and less, Melissa was able to step back, reassess, and see Abby for who she was. Or Melissa just changed. Idk. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Exactly. If Abby had said that to Brady or his mom, that makes complete sense. Once it goes to being in front of the other kids with them around then it goes into what Stacey is saying. It did not cross that line until Stacey made it cross that line and Abby was forced to draw attention to the fact that she wants Brady to win. Brady didn’t deserve to hear any of it. If Stacey wanted to fight with Abby she should have talked to her alone when the kids aren’t present. I am surprised Brady has chosen to stay because I cannot imagine feeling like these forty year old women are bullying you. Exactly. I believe Abby was hurt as a younger dance teacher by her students and their parents (watch the q and a’s. One of the dancer’s parents said they couldn’t afford the classes so Abby gave it to them for free and they were out at the mall buying a $150 pair of jeans) and this hurt had made her into a spiteful and toxic person. It’s a sad cycle and I hope the kids don’t follow with this.

Here's the problem I have with this season. They don't have a Dr. Holly to get the kids OUT OF THE ROOM when the moms start fighting. Therefore, the kids are exposed to the moms' drama and then get the moms' drama into their heads. Because of this, the girls can't seem to separate the drama from Brady and say insensitive things (whether they intend to be hurtful or not) and hurt Brady's feelings. The og girls were almost always able to separate the moms' drama from their friendship and still remain friends with maddie without any hard feelings really. These girls don't know how to do that/aren't doing that, resulting in them turning against Brady. They have to realize that it isn't Brady's fault and leave the arguing and disagreements to the moms. This is, after all, meant to be dance MOMS. I feel really bad for Brady in these situations because it clearly hurts that even though he was a strong comfort to the girls when the moms were fighting about THEM, he doesn't feel the comfort being reciprocated when the moms (*cough cough, STACEY) attack him

I'm for sure on Brady's side here. Yeah, Abby said she wants Brady to win but the reality is that she wants all of them to win. Brady hasn't had a win (that was aired) the whole season. Abby said she wants him to win so he actually has a win under his belt for the season like Lilly and Pressley do but she didn't mean that she wanted the other two solos to do bad.
