DANCE | Spoken Word Poem

For an art that looks so beautiful on the outside... there are so many dancers struggling with their confidence and self esteem. The industry is failing its dancers! We need to start working together as a supportive industry. Instead of fighting to get to the top let’s be successful without destroying others self worth! We can do better than this and the problem is never resolved!
I understand the industry is tough but that certainly isn’t an excuse to not be a nice person. You can be successful and humble. You can also be kind and supportive whilst achieving your goals too. Dancers are already so hard in themselves... let’s not make it worse by making people feel they aren’t good enough! 💫♥️
I hope you enjoyed this video! This is the first spoken word poem I’ve wrote. I didn’t think it would be something I would do but these words came from the heart and I really enjoyed writing, filming and editing it!
