Seventeen is also famous for not repeating their exact choreo of first chorus in second chorus. If you will notice, there is always a changes of movements from the first choreo to 2nd choreo, that is why learning SVT song makes it more challenging specially if it played in random dances , because they might be the same chorus but the steps are not

The thing that really shocks me about this choreography is the fact that Jeonghan (the self-proclaimed 13th place member in stamina) doesn't leave the stage once. Every other member gets a chance to go off to the wings but Jeonghan is pushing the entire song. This shows me that truly all 13 members of seventeen are strong dancers and even stronger performers. Additionally the phone call hands they were making throughout the song looks like the number 7 (like they have their thumb up to their ear) so it's the same hand positioning they do in their greeting (which they also do multiple times throughout the choreography!

That one right there sparked my interest on the group, and after that I started watching all of their videos. I even thought they're Japanese from the first time I saw this. I also love their dance performance, like every single one of them cus they kinda gives off a good energy from every single detail. the story in the mv, based on what I've heard is that seventeen is divided into 3 groups of bikers from different eras/types of motorcycle. they were basically fighting to take carats call. in the lyrics there was something like "call me when you have trouble"

I can’t wait for you to see the other Japanese song choreography but from the remaining Korean tracks- don’t forget “our dawn is hotter than day”, getting closer, home, Hit, Fear, snapshoot, left n right, my my, fearless, homerun.. there’s a lot more… live stages also… 😂😂😂😂

This was choreographed by Hoshi and the Look crew (who did Thanks and Just Do It). Indeed this was a callback to their debut years, but all their japanese releases are quite different from each other. 2018 as a whole was a callback to debut Seventeen, with Oh My! also bringing back fresh and cute Seventeen, before ushering in the start of "dark Seventeen" with the release of Getting Closer at MAMA.

I think it was the art director for the music video said in an interview (can't find it because it was a while ago), but the three groups have very specific inspiration and motifs. The members in suits (S.Coups, Hoshi, Mingyu, Seungkwan) are based on mods, the members in the "traditional biker fare" (Jeonghan, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, The8) by rockers, and the casual.. futuristic.. colorful boys (Joshua, Jun, Vernon, Dino) by Akira (yes, the anime).

My personal favorite detail is at 10:12 when everyone in the background is doing a little accordion ripple with their fingers. It reminds of western movies when cowboys are preparing for a shootout, and the hand placement of just over their back pockets where a phone might be tucked away is smart to me... no idea if that’s what was intended, but I love that little detail.
@Luna-in5nb3 жыл бұрын
Nicee. A CALLx3 reaction! I had the same reaction as you in 9:56 and 11:18 when I first watched the dance practice 😂 You calling this their cleanest choreo so far reminds me of how clips of this video is often used in tweets or posts about the synchronization of Seventeen! Maybe some interesting parts in this choreo is woozi's far ass travel in 9:49 coming from the right to the left, and that the hand movements they do whenever "seventeen" appears in the song is their official hand gesture whenever they inroduce themselves! Smart move to include given that its their japanese debut.

i believe this is seventeens second most tiring choreo based on some of the things they've said. it used to be their most tiring choreo to perform until they released hit in 2019. actually usually seventeen tell carats not to be worried about them getting tired performing but i remember it was either this song and/or hit they admitted that it's actually really exhausting and (lightheartedly) said that carats should be worried OTL this is actually one of my favorite SVT choreos and it's one of my favorite SVT songs in general too! imo they had a really strong japanese debut, and their japanese releases have continued to be amazing. there isn't a japanese release from seventeen that i disliked. although as far as choreos for japanese releases go, 24H and fallin flower are the most interesting!!

Other ways they keep up the phone motif: when they do the finger tapping on their butts, pretty sure that's to symbolise a cell phone vibrating in their pockets. ;)
