I do not understand why they could not have given these couples a better selection to dance off. This sounds like Lawerence Welk music! So much of interpretation and creativity depends on the music. I really could not enjoy this fully although the couples are clearly talented.

I get that. It would be more enjoyable to watch with great music. But with this basic music, the music doesn’t add or take away from the couples. The dancing and ability of the couples , for a competition, shines more, because it isn’t hidden by the music

@@james3339 yes but dance originated hand in hand with music. Why are we moving towards taking away the input of music to dancing by way of inspiration, rhythm and motivation? It is a beautiful artistic enjoyable action and not just a formality. I agree with Sharron. I always choose to be a dancer who enjoys and is sensitive to the music and gets inspired by the actual piece of music I am dancing to. This is lacking in today's dancing and we this at the very top levels in latin dancing today with true chemistry inspired by music replaced by contrived mechanical movement with little spontaneity and greater formality in expression.

The professional from Asian couple lack flexibility in doing some figures. As if they're doing like a cheerleader. They need to master the basic before doing certain steps that doesn't suits them.
