It's a good project to let Russian performers incl. some worldly famous stars dance the Basic Rumba...I could recognize Gusev/Bondareva, Tatsurian/Bergmanova, Semen/Elizabeta etc....In Asia Japan has been trying out similar project inviting some worldly acclaimed stars(incl.Japanese dancers) for quite some time, but Russia this time exhibited a whole new competition for the Russian performers.....anyway a good job...!

Very beautiful and perfect basic by Vera. And Andrey. (Last couple in the video.) Vera and Andrey are in a unique class of their own. This very excellent performance of basic rumba should be published in a separate video of only these two. It is a very good model for dancers and a unique pride for Russia.

I think Vera is much better than just one year ago (in the 2021 basic rumba). If I can have a dream for her for next year, she can be even better in one aspect: her look (in the face). She is working so much with her mouth. It is a bit gym like, strenuous. She needs to get Anna Efanova´fantastic look in "stops" as in Anna´s fantastic basic 2021. Anna is dancing with her legs and head coordinated to get a rumba character of the dance. And she pauses (stops) with a big look at Artem. Often. Try that, Vera.

I love the music. Empress Orchestra is my all-time favorite band for ballroom music and i was very good they used that.

Somebody employs 3 alemanas right from the start or somebody not...one competitor exhibited sliding doors, others not....Semen/Elizabeta...you could see how much Elizabeta's back muscle was developed...she uplifted her right leg behind Semen's back and it overshot over Semen's shoulder....wow..!

Всё эстетично и музыкально. Но мне бросилась в глаза такая деталь: при раскрытиях, правая рука партнёров не живёт, а режет воздух бессмысленными движениями. Исключение, на мой взгляд, пара 288. На таком уровне мастерства, уверен, можно было бы предать правой руке больше красноречия, как в классическом танце, где каждая деталь и сегмент тела передает смысл происходящего действа
