in terms of what you could've missed, the music video is made to represent all kinds of people with the idea that every orbit is also part of loona. they had a teaser called "for all loonas around the world", and at some parts in the music video the screen turns black so you could see your own reflection - you're also a part of loona :)

To think the choreo wasn't eve nominated for best dance of the year at the year end shows. Not even NOMINATED! They didn't sleep on Loona, they straight up coma'ed on them. I'm still bitter about it in 2021.

there are two in stripes: yves & kim lip. the crop & long sleeve is yves the main dancer which is why she stood out. she never stopped dancing the whole time when other members would go to the side for a bit during some parts.

it's not a stretch at all for you to say that the choreo looks like a butterfly btw! there are so many different butterfly themed formations in this choreo, it blows the mind haha. for example, if you look at their formation at 11:44 from the front, it looks normal, but from the top, it looks like a butterfly! this choreo is so interpretive and creative and I think it matches the meaning of the song so well. im glad you enjoyed it !

@@cristobalsalcedomariscal8209 you can actually see it a little bit at 5:14 in this video, haha! the camera pans up and you can see the girls sort of in two Vs on either side of kim lip, making a butterfly where each V is a wing. hope that helps :D

I'm not a Loona stan, just a casual fan, but I LOVE their outfits for Butterfly simply because ... pants. Long pants. Flattering yes, feminine and beautiful, but not revealing or super sexualised. I hadn't thought too much about it with other GG MVs, but when watching that it was simply beautiful to watch these talented women dance like angels without having to be revealing at the same time. Butterfly seems to have a big theme of female empowerment to it as a song and MV both, and i think the outfits really help support that concept. The choreo is amazing, and they just KILL it.

i totally agree!! i also think their outfits result in this cool effect where they look like silhouettes, especially when they're wearing black on black. it fits in even more with the theme of butterfly (all girls everywhere are part of loona

Something to notice in the choreo vid i never saw before in kpop is their use of the grid in the practice room, pretty much all the others just use a center point usually ^^

Ayeeee! Thanks for fulfilling my request! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! This was choreographed by someone (whose name I can't remember right now) who does a lot of modern/concert work, and we can definitely see that influence in the dance. The album this song was on is called XX, so there are a lot of X figures in the choreography, both in their shapes and their formations. The X also looks like a butterfly. PS. The falsetto "fly like a butterfly" part is actually pitched up and not sung naturally (the producers of the song posted a breakdown video of the mixing process).

@@clicklesly11 Actually, Butterfly was done by choreographer Bo Park. Their 2 in-house choreographers are the ones who make adjustments to it (as is the job of all in-house choreographers), but they did not choreograph the entire dance themselves. This is similar to how Kyle Hanagami did the choreography for So What, and the 2 in-house choreographers just fixed it up.
