For solo work, Wheein didn't renew her contract when the initial 7 year contract ended, so he solo songs since then have been with a different label. Hwasa also signed with P-nation for solo work this summer. Moonbyul and Solar firm a sub-unit called Mamamoo+ last year, and Chico Malo is one of their songs. They are still with RBW. The song uses transitional Korean theatre as a song. Solar's dress is adapted from traditional female clothing (hanbok), while Moonbyul is basically traditional male clothing.

it's crazy that people often call moonbyul a bad dancer just because her style of dancing doesn't suit girl group choreos. i hate that female idols in the industry are always expected to dance in a typically feminine (and usually sensual) way in order to be appreciated as good dancers. i feel like most female idols who are considered the "best dancers" usually have the same exact style, i really want to see more diversity in female dancers.

All good on the subs, they're still not out on her official channel yet! And for solo releases, Wheein & Hwasa's stuff won't be on the MMM official channel anymore likely, since they're under their own separate respective labels.

Wheein delivered an incredible song and album, we all know she was going to deliver mamamoo perfection but it is still amazing even if we are prepared for it. Moonbyul wrote absence inspired by a show she saw but there is no MV, this performance video is it. mamamoo does a lot of performance videos, practice videos and videos of live performances. Chico Malo is from a few months ago Mamamoo+ or Moonbyul and Solar, there is also a song GGBB on that album which is also really good and both songs have performance videos as well. More info on Chico Malo can be found on Solarsido, there Solar and Moonbyul did their own reaction video to their own Chico Malo MV, guess they like reaction videos and they do explain some of the symbolism and reasons they did things in the MV.

sadly, there's no mv for absence, because it's a bside there's only the performance video.. i guess they called it that because it's more focused on dance and much more simple than a regular mv. also there's only that part for hip, they made a small choreo so they could include some shots on the actual music video because she's a choreographer in the mv. and yes in the mood's choreo and performance is really great! look forward to it 😄

Thanks for remembering that the best channel for Mamamoo MVs is MMM's yt channel. Unfortunately the situation has gotten more complicated since Wheein and Hwasa moved to different agencies for their solo work. Hwasa signed with P-Nation in July and Wheein has been working under dual contracts since 2021: RBW for Mamamoo and TheL1ve for her solo work. You liked the production on In the Mood but the thing that bugs me about her solo stuff with TheL1ve is the heavy processing on her vocal tracks. She's been much happier and more confident since she signed with TheL1ve and we're all thrilled about that but imo RBW did a better job of giving us the natural sound of her amazing voice. There's no MV for Absence - this performance video is all we got. In the Hip MV each member played herself in Mamamoo and in 3 different lives in alternate universes. They released a series of 12 teasers for Hip's album "reality in BLACK" showing each of those 12 alternate lives. One of Moonbyul's alt lives was as a choreographer and besides the reality in BLACK teaser we got this extra video of Byul as a choreographer. Chico Malo is by the official Solar/Moonbyul subunit Mamamoo+. The intro is what makes it an aniri version. An aniri is a narrative section of a pansori, the traditional Korean songstory. The credits named the pansori singer/narrator, his sidekick with the drum and the musicians who played the gayageum (the large zither) and the daegeum (the large flute). The MV concept is a stage presentation combining traditional and contemporary theatrical elements. It's performed on a single flexible set with minimal props and furniture to set the different scenes. They borrowed from modern stage conventions by using a frame to represent a mirror in the scene where Solar and Moonbyul take turns yelling at each other and a ladder to represent a cherry tree. I assume the cherry blossoms during the final dance scene were meant to carry their usual symbolic meaning in Asian cultures - beauty, purity and the transience of life. That wasn't a gang sign at the end - they were flipping the bad guy the bird lol.

Что в вашей голове? Мунбёль, которая с помощью телефона в настройках стала звучать как Хвиин???? (ролик с выбором песни другой участницы на канале mamamoo перед туром). Может lgbt Moonsun? Даже сабюнит назвали mamamoo+ , чтобы сэкономить на рекламе, маркетинге.

@@allailina1941 If you can't hear the processing on her vocal tracks I can't help you. If you like the sound of it that's also up to you. This isn't her official MV where it's only appropriate to leave hearts and congrats. It's a reaction video where someone shares their opinion with us and invites us to comment with our opinions. Nobody expects 100% raw vocals on recordings but my preference is for a more natural sound. I'll guarantee you that no moomoo ever said they couldn't wait to hear how Wheein sounds when her voice is heavily compressed and autotuned.

Sorry, but why does there have to be a video of other members' reactions here, when this is supposed to be Moonbyul's reaction week? in weekly videos about other members it only contains that member's solo performance, but why is it different here?
