I think the first one is more practical. Very close to the university, clean street down there, furnished. No need to worry about moving big furniture, eg bed, to the flat upstairs. 😊

When one is there for a specific purpose then location is crucial for at least the first 6 months bc there are so many new changes to acclimate to. This is especially true for adults doing postgraduate work. Young college bound students can tolerate and adjust much more quickly to new environments and experiences.

There is no money to pay for the house until offer is accepted. Local estate agents wouldn't normally charge to let you view a house. Are you referring to getting a person to view on your behalf?

LOTR期限7月19日屆滿, 其後須持簽證赴英. 故此香港人到英國定居需求會減少, 所以暫時租平價屋先. 等候找工作及樓價回穩

Thank you both for your comments, the price of each rental property was very clearly stated in the video, hope you can see it. We are not recommending everyone to live in city centre, everyone has different needs, in the case of my friend, she needs to live close to the university and prefers city living. We just want to show you what its like. In regards to two months deposit, who was your estate agent? Are you aware it's illegal to take more than 5 weeks deposit if the annual rental value is below £50k? Maybe you can save some money on your deposit? Congratulations on finding a good home.☺️🥰
