kind of expected to see more fluidity in the finals honestly. The cha cha and jive were fluid but the samba and paso felt so chaotic and disjointed, like a series of moves rather than a dance

Thank u for uploadig videos .. please upload the results too I used to love polina's dancing but her dancing was chenged so much .. so robatic and big and hectic and busy .. her style i felt is messy too .. Anna of course had balance issues and stefano didn't dance the way we'd used to expect from him but in comparison to these dancers they danced smooth and fluid and deserve to win .. Did'nt enjoy the music .. not the tune we expect from blackpool .. and except anna,dasha and andra's , i hate three other dresses .. Overall seeing people clapping and dancers gathering together .. joyfull

I agree with you on Polina... hectic and fidgety. I think its because of the choreography. This showllike choreo suited Pasha and Oxana perfectly well, but it doesnt suit Polina. Dont enjoy her round back and shoulders, either.

What a strange Blackpool final. This video seems to be filmed by a handheld camera in the audience, and only half the floor is available? Many of the chairs are empty. The audience is just 20-30% of the normal Blackpool audience. The dancing is really great though. Stefano winning with a new partner, with his former partner Daria on the floor, really adds to the drama as well. Stefano, always the nicest guy in the room, who has been through so much over the years, deserves this win, as does his illustrious partner Anna. Thanks for posting this.

Polina's style drifted in the wrong direction in my opinion since her and Kirill had split. She used to be more smooth and more polished, not anymore.

I'd even say there is something wrong with her style in comparision to how she danced with Pavel before. Pavel is still the same, but she has changed. I didn't find her dancing style hectic before in the same routines, because all her movements seemed to be directed by the inner fire, so they looked quite natural, and she showed her soul while dancing, at least I saw that it was the aim. But now her dance often seems empty, the emotions she tries to express now look rather superficial. And this change of emotions reflects on the quality of her movements, making them sometimes even sloppy and heavy. They should definitely try something new, she is not able to feel these over-learned routines anymore.

I hope that the next Blackpool Open will be of a much higher quality. The standard Open was excellent, but the latin Open missed Troels and Ina, and even others, who did not come to participate. And the quality of those participating was disappointing. The inspiring quality of many amateurs and Rising Stars, and amateurs in Russia and in the WDSF gives hope of much, much better future couples, than this "old" Blackpool final. Many amateurs world wide are much better than these professionals.
