If you buy some engineers blue or steel blue to put on your patches they are much easier to mark up 👍🏻

Just a small suggestion, a piece of metal or wood underneath the piece you have clamped in the vice, will stop, or at least help it to keep dropping when you are hammering downwards on the piece. Fantastic work.

First time viewer. Like what I saw. You should have a look at Fitzees Fabrications. He has great and easy tips and ways for new fabricators. I've learned alot from his videos. Simple ways, with simple tools. By the way, I have a 92 Cabriolet, and am restoring a 72 Chevy Nova. Keep up the Great Work, and I look forward to more content on the "Dub"... 👍👍👍

Get yourself a piece of metal same thickness as your using and run a couple of beads of weld on it with just changing your wire speed you should find that will help you on Penetration I'm sure. Awesome job bud you have taken on a lot.. Stay safe.. Gazza

A couple of top tips Dan 1. stop fingering the rusty holes your fingers will thanks you 2. make your repair panel before cutting anything

Old tip for protecting the inside of the cill. Drill a small hope in the top. Fill with used engine oil. Leave for a few days. Drain off from power drain hole. Fills last longer .does work.

Its coming out great. I would think about the inside of that A pillar as it looks to be bare metal and unprotected. Maybe could have applied some protection. I think you can get stuff you can spray into the cavities that will do the same job 👍

Thank you so much for watching and for the comment bud. The inside of the pillar on the car is painted and has some wax covering too. The part I have fitted is primed and I will be doing cavity wax once the car is painted.

You should always clean up your welds visible or not so you can make sure that they are solid and not comprise of contamination

Thank you so much for watching and for the comment Alan, Glad you are enjoying it! Yes I am using the Mighty MIG 150, I am using Max 2 wire speed 6. Seem's to be working pretty well. To fill holes in or the edges of panels I drop it to Max 1. Gas is Argon at the moment but got some 90% Argon 10% Co2 on order.

Being Ex-Military, we're taught to just keep it simple when teaching/instructing. As you said, it's the way you feel comfortable explaining what your doing when taking to the camera. And always clean the epoxy primer back away from your weld surface at least 6mm so it doesn't contaminate your welds
