This version is basically the version you listen to if you don't want to listen to each phase twice

A true masterpiece of a song, and it's literally on the SNES. The late Super Famicom era was definitely where video game music began to be truly peak. Games like FFVI, Chrono Trigger, DK Country, and Yoshi's Island are prime examples of this.

There are obviously a lot of great NES soundtracks (FF1-FF3, Mario, Megaman, etc.) but I feel like the SNES is when they really tried to stretch the limits of what they could do on the system, especially with Dancing Mad. I think Uematsu did realize that just because you're making music for a video game that doesn't mean you should half-ass it, and this was in a time where people just really saw video games as an expensive toy. Uematsu and many other composers (and developers of course) were really catching onto the fact that video games were far more than just a toy, they were a new medium and they needed to set the example of how high quality this medium could be, in storytelling, in visuals, and of course, music. Sorry for writing so much lol, you just inspired me with your comment

It is a pity I never heard full theme during my boss fight. I was prepared too much (3 wizards with Ultima spell)

Oh man, YES! Found this through DrumRollTony and this is SUCH a good cut; it always bothers me when I'm listening to a song with somebody that has a _really distinct B section_ and you can almost feel everyone rolling their eyes when it plays a second time before the song moves on-- this is _perfect,_ seriously.

I’m just really happy that people are able to use this song without having to listen to each phase twice, especially music producers who react to this will likely not want to listen to them repeat. Also, you can imagine my shock when I first saw his video and saw this version on his screen!

Among all the remakes and arranged and orchestral versions, this one is still the best I've ever heard!
