There's some footage of him recently and it's super depressing. He's lost most, if not all of his teeth and dyes his gray hair jet black. He lives in abject poverty somewhere other than Boone County (I think Tennessee). Soft White Underbelly has an interview with Mammie and it's as equally, if not more depressing. She's aged terribly from the stress of living like they did/do with the pills and moonshine and other drugs (her teeth vanished as well). Mark from SWU asked her a question in the interview regarding the happiest times of her life and sadly, she mentioned it's never been better than when the MTV crew (Jeff Tremaine and Knoxville) filmed the documentary "Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia" that basically mocked and exploited their intelligence and way of life. It's almost worth saving yourself from the sad ending and pretending they all "lived happily ever after" in my opinion. Btw, Sue Bob is homeless, strungout and in and out of jail.
