she killed the "weak" in herself through sadhana and she ensured that the weakness is eliminated from her mind and soul and she came out of sadhana all-acknowledged with her powerful self. India has a rich and cosmocentric culture that embraces everyone, no matter where you are from. I am proud to be an Indian and I wish for all the Indians to do the same and at the same time respect others culture and traditions too because remember that "Vasudeva kutumbakam" meaning the whole world is one family.

The very first Shloka means: Who is as Red as vermilion, have three eyes, wears crown of Rubies and Cresent moon, have a smile, who holds pot of jewels (filled with nector) and a Red water lily, who is very calm and puts her red feet on a ghat (pot) of jewels, I meditate on that supreme mother. This Shloka is dedicated to Para Chiti form of Goddess Lalita Tripursundari (third Mahavidya). Here, she is related with kundalini shakti and enlightenment. The pot under her feet is actually head of sadhak, and devi is seated on spiritual Lotus of thousands petals, where is Sahasrar chakra, this is our final destination in Yoga. "Sahasrarambujaroodha sudhasarabhivarshini" She rides on spiritual Lotus of Sahasrar chakra, and rains nector on sadhak, nector is moksha or nivana, which is our ultimate goal. Every Woman is a homogeneous mixture of Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswathi. She is Durga when she fights evil in every form, Lakshmi in her household and Saraswathi to her children. I got goosebumps when I watched the depiction of Durga and the prayOgam of Her thrisoolam. Devi is the all powerful Shakthi ( pure form of concentrated energy) - superior to the male gods.

The very essence of our traditions, the crux of our scriptures is that 'Sarvam khalu idam Brahma'. That would very loosely translate to 'Everything is Brahma'. In other words, the feminine is not superior to the masculine. The masculine is not superior to the feminine. Because, both of those are divine. And, consequently, one form of divine is not superior to or inferior to the other. They're merely complementary counterparts. Period.
@Rubylove484 жыл бұрын
I think you’re mistaken in your understanding If you say the feminine is superior to the masculine. Both are Divine, both are required in the human realm to live as an embodiment of Divine Creation, the form and the formless are both equally sacred.

Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful. She sits and meditates in front of a mandala. As she closes her eyes, she begins to travel through the very mandala to the temple of self. The consciousness where she enters with what she has as a being of this physical world. She expresses all that in the form of her dances. The Devi, her self-consciousness who now knows what she has become from the physical world, slowly observes her from above. Devi, slowly approaching towards her chaotic self starts a dual and finally kills her; kills the ego and chaos in her; finally becoming only her in the conscience. When the yogini opens her eyes, she achieved what we are supposed to achieve from yoga and meditation- self consciousness and enlightenment; the devi within us. Loved it!!

This performance by Rukmini Vijayakumar is breathtaking, not only in its choreography, but in it's honesty and integrity of confession. Dance as a facet of Devotion, as a form of prayer, is completely forgotten in the west. Caesar destroyed dance as a liturgical rite, reduced it to an exclusively sensual expression to summon sexual appetites. Since Caesarean Apartheid, the occupied territories have rejected and shunned dance in the liturgy, but the Devotional Dance traditions of Asia, which remain operative components of sacred rites, liturgy and individual testament among the Hindu denominations, are an accurate reflection of Devotional Dance traditions in Arabia, the Black Sea (Caucuses) and Europe prior to Caesarian Apartheid. Westerners no longer appreciate Devotional Dance for what it truly is, a live performance of cannonical narratives. In this magnificent example, Rukmini provides the audience a view of a conflict internal to us all: we are all, in any given decision, but most often in moments of stress or crisis, compelled to passivity by the benevolent influences and seduced to outrage by malevolent influences. Whether we call the benevolent influences angels or devi, whether we call the malevolent influences devils or rakshasa is merely a matter of nomenclature. The meaning of life is in finding the optimal locus of the soul, finding then establishing the core of our being, our soul, at the center where balance is achieved. Rukmini may be the greatest dancer I have ever witnessed. Rukmini personifies the besieged soul, the innocent soul, the outraged soul and, finally,, the centered soul with such integrity it is nearly impossible to accept these performers are one and the same person. The integrity in Rukmini's confession allows us all to share in its absolution, for Rukmini's performance is an accurate reflection of who we all truly are when it matters: conflicted and too prone to outrages. It is the duality implicit in the human condition, and the resolution thereof captured in Rukmini's performance which compels the audience to ovation. I meditate on Devotional Dance as a liturgical rite and, in examples like Rukmini Vijayakumar, I realize how completely the 1st Commandment was observed Before Caesar: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. Only in Devotional Dance could one do that literally and demonstratively. Imagine Devotional Dance rites performed at church each Sunday following the sermon. The pews would be filled. I am inclined to believe sermons would become superfluous. Brava, Rukmini! Encore!

Yes that’s Shri Yantra. That is Sri Cakra of Lalita Maha Tripurasundari. She is Aadi Parashakti, the highest force or power to exist as well as the primordial force or power to ever exist. Note: If you don’t agree with what I said go read Brahmanda Purana, Lalita Sahasranaama, Sri Tripura Rahasya and the tantras.

This exactly feels like the time when my Kundalini awakened. I was reciting the mantra of Dakshina Kali for 8 days on only water and Amba suddenly appeared in a ferocious but compassionate form in front of my eyes and I felt my ego dissolve and a cold fire envelope me. At the same time, I feel all-knowing and great but also extremely humbled and grateful to be in the presence of that GREAT MOTHER for which I am so undeserving. If I had to express my experience poetically, this would be it. The performer and creator are certainly blessed by Devi or such a production is not possible.
