When Dennis tells you to take pictures and videos along the way he is 100% right. I now have a reel in a bag it is hard to remember where all the parts go and especially the little tiny ones that fall out and you have no idea where it came from or where in the hell it goes.

When I saw Olympic I was hoping it was an Olympic spinning reel but this is an interesting reel anyway. I’m not familiar with Danco though. It is an attractive reel. I always like to learn about reels I don’t know. Thanks Dennis! - Chris

Yes - olympic made many conventional reels for others. They were basically the Olympic Dolphin under the covers of store branded reels

Anyone wanting to have their reel disassemble and cleaned please send them to me and you will have the cleanest reel in a bag that there is . I just can’t remember how to reassemble the damn thing that is why it’s going to Dennis to fix.

Hmmm - I just think that there was a lot less parent enforcement and litigation back in the day. These are not exact copies and maybe enough was changed that it made it a little more difficult. The exterior does not look like a PENN Reel. It is the interior gearing that much closer to a copy. Thanks for the note and thought - Dennis
