I think it would come down to 1) IF either side planned a first strike initiative and 2) at what time over the decades you pick for the fight to happen. Also 3) if you take the film or comic versions? What version of Phoenix? Jean or the separate Phoenix's Force? One could rip a planet apart with her telekinesis. Some were pretty wimpy. Which version of Quicksilver and what side would he be on as the one in the comics was way slower than the one in the movies. Carol Danvers was on both teams (Ms. Marvel and Binary). Beast was on both teams. Magneto could probably take out All the Avengers that rely on technology at once, this includes the comic version of Vision (no infinity stone). He has given Thor a hard time in comics. He has given the whole X-man team a hard time at once. His comic version force fields could deflect a small nuke. Later versions of Ice Man portray him as being able to cut Thor's skin with ice. Some versions of Thor were way OP and he alone would be an issue. What version of the Hulk? Now for first strike: If Dr. Strange and Scarlet Witch teamed up for a pre-emptive magical attack, NONE of the X-men would have any defense. If Professor X and Phoenix (even Jean Grey without the PF) teamed up for a pre-emptive PSY attack, NONE of the Avengers (besides Vision) would have any defense. Maggie would rip him apart. Charles is so op that only plots can stop him, he can instantaneously make most of the opponent's brain dead (he doesn't do it as he's a good person, but if it is life or death for his people, he will go for it), even Scarlett witch if she's not ready or anticipates the attack. that's the base version of him, he doesn't need some dark magic book or cosmic entity for that. Magneto/jean grey can take care of it if someone survives that. Rest x-men can sit and watch.

I disagree with a lot on this list. There is SO much he's not taking into consideration. For example, there's no reason to think Magneto can't control or deflect Thor's lightning, considering Magneto can control everything in the electromagnetic spectrum I don't know if this idea has been put to the test in the comics, but it really doesn't matter since he seems to be doing only movie versions. Also, he mentioned the Hulk stamping professor x, but that also assumes the prof. would be AT the battle, which there is no reason why he should be or would have to be. Also, also, He mentions quicksilver speed and ability to knock people out. There is also no reason to believe he couldn't do that to someone like Scarlet Witch at the very onset of the battle, especially if the team had time to prepare. Cyclops would know to take out SW first. Also, why take Rogue out?? Sure, the movie version isn't like the comic version, but fighting captain marvel is what gave her her permanent strength to begin with, So there's no reason to think rogue can't pull Something like that off in this kind of battle. There are more, but I have limited space. I'm not saying the fight wouldn't feel closer than some people might think, just for a bunch of different reasons, than he listed.

She received punches from America Chavez, whose punches are able to break multiversal boundaries and even send shockwaves across the mountains and Wanda didn’t even break her skin. In the case that her body is damaged heavily, her chaos magic instantly and constantly heals her (as seen from when she was gettinf out of the mirror dimension) Speed - Her chaos magic allows her to react to speedsters. As shown in WandaVision Episode 7, she was able to grab her speedster son’s while he was running and stopped him. In MoM, she fought and killed Captain Marvel whose photon blasts are the same speed as the speed of light. Even if she gets blitzed by speedsters, her durability and constant healing will protect her. Scarlet Witch has Chaos Magic inside her body which allowas her to be techincally immortal.

In my opinion its more like Scarlet, Dr. Strange, Thor, Captain Marvel vs Jean Gray, Professor X, Magneto but this can be simplified into Scarlet, Dr. Strange vs Jean Gray now... the thing is i only started watching marvel movie more just recently, But I watch all Dr. Stange movies quite a few time as I absolutly love him. Even tho I dont really know marvel characters, im really good at understanding the true power of pretty much anything since im like 3yo. And ive come to the conclusion that if the fight last less than like... maybe an hour, Dr. Strange isnt that good, but if he can have enough time to think, he definetly wins. Simply because Stange simply pretty much have unlimited power... He only need to know what to do with them, if he know what he has to do he can for sure do it. And this is why this is one of the only super heros I like, because all of the others dont make sense, they are like super strong but for some reason they cant beat weak things... And this dont aply to Dr. Strange because he is limited by his reason of being... Dr. Strange is so underated in my opinion.

Well it's a tough fight bc while the Avengers have way higher AP, they don't really have any counter to genjutsu. There's also amaterasu and Itachi's susanoo's sealing. Let's not forget hidan as well. He seems weak but on a team, he's the most essential wild card bc he can basically one shot any opponent who doesn't have a healing factor like Hulk. Then there's obito. It would be srt of dependent on how their powers would interact w each other (eg. would Dr Strange be able to access obito's mangekyo dimension w his mystic arts? n stuff like that)

It really isn’t. Jean turns them into dust in seconds. Cyclops disintegrates them in seconds. Wolverine cuts their heads off in seconds or tires them out while he heals to the point that they have an heart attack because they in fact can’t do this “all day” similar to Wonder Woman in Justice league doom, the way Batman had it planned to stop her despite being how strong she is. Or Storm could drop the temperate below zero & make the entire avengers die of the cold like Jack Torrance in the Shinning.

So I think the best matchups you could do for Avengers vs X-Men would be to make the teams contemporary to the Uncanny X-Men run that saw the blue and gold teams while Avengers has East and West Coast teams. This would not only limit your rosters but also take Xavier out of the equation (as he was over the blue and gold teams without being part of either) while Jean Grey was without the Phoenix force and Scarlett Witch had not fully realized the extent of her powers. The best matchups then would be X-Men Blue vs Avengers East Coast and X-Men Gold vs Avengers West Coast.

There's this cool animation out there, called "Why Magneto can never be in the MCU" (though I think it actually predates the Marvel movies) in which he basically soloes the Avengers.
