'Kintama' (golden ball) is essentially our colloquial "Family Jewels". Just a widely known/used way of referring to balls basically.

I cannot unsee a depleted and hungry Luffy who needs to eat meat whenever Turbo Granny is talking when I found out that she's the same voice actor.

So, from what I know "kintama" is a way to refer to balls in japanese. Kin means gold, and tama means ball/jewel. In anime, you often see gold balls references when they are talking about their balls. It happened in One Piece as well when Luffy was in Amazon Lily talking about his "family jewels" lol

Dandadan totally has a Yu Yu Hakusho vibe, I follow the manga and one thing that is very noticeable is that Dandadan is kind of a pastiche of several shoujo and shonen references and characters

Also the journey to love and coming of age feels very similar to Love Hina
