Dandadan’s Popularity Vote Is In And It's insane!
The popularity poll covered all characters of the series but we’re gonna stick to the ones that appear in the anime so no spoilers!
In last place is Granny Seiko, she’s a great character but doesn’t appear much or steal the spotlight so i think this spot is fair.
Aira’s in 5th, this surprised me as her character growth is pretty quick in a few episodes from being the popular girl to special acrobatic yokai shell
In 4th we’ve got Jiji, who i personally didn’t like when he was first introduced, but once you know him he’s actually so lovable and bounces off Momo and Okuran’s character so well.
In third place we have Turbo Granny as the Maneki-neko, this surprised me but if you think about it, Turbo granny has been supporting the series from the get go, being a villain, a source of information, comic relief and an absolute menace.
Right at the top it’s Momo in 2nd and Okuran in 1st? Surprised me that Momo isn’t top cause i know what this community is like but Okuran is more popular in Japan so might be why, good job lads.

They've sourced their powers from their opposing beliefs(Momo only believed in Ghosts, while Okarun in Aliens)

As a huge fan of the manga, it makes sense to me that Okarun would place no.1 at the popularity polls because of 3 things: 1. Okarun has the biggest character development in the series thanks to Momo giving him the confidence boost. 2. Has one of the coldest double page spreads and panels (Okarun vs evil Eye for example) 3. His growing relationship with Momo and what makes him stand out from other Shonen MCs especially romcom MCs

I think people in general like Ken's growth and motivation throughout the story. As much as I love my main goobers Okarun is my favourite character in the series and this is without even factoring his cool moments and fight scenes.

There's still a lot of story to cover. I reccomend reading the manga on the Shonen Jump app. There's like 180 chapters now. The 1st season of the anime only covers around the 1st 30 chapters. This series is hilarious.
