What would be the best dandelion root extract to take?

It would be best to harvest it yourself (as long as the grass is not sprayed). Harvest it in the fall for the largest roots. There are many videos on youtube on how to make an extract from any herbs. I personally make tintures (using alcohol) because more of the medicinal properties are extracted. And once made, it has pretty much an indefinite shelf life. Extracts shelf life is about a year or so.
