That was a jaguar, a latin American big cat to match the Spanish diaspora concept. The jaguar was CGI - there's no way they'd let Hwasa get that close to one. The fire was real, though, and the girls came off the set blowing soot snot from their noses. Starry Night has some latin pop influence but Egotistic is primarily a reggaeton song. They later returned to reggaeton in their most recent title track, Illella. As often happens in kpop, Egotistic is a mix of styles and influences - the flamenco guitar intro, the main reggaeon beat, and the switch to what sounds like Middle Eastern or Indian percussion samples and rhythms in the bridge. And though it's somewhat buried in the mix there's the wailing rock guitar in the outro that was possibly intended to be a Carlos Santana-esque solo tho it's not really played in his style. Egotistic was title track #2 in Mamamoo's 4 Season 4 Color series. The season was Summer, the color was Red, and the stage of love was Passion, hence the red-hot mama sexiness, tropical sun and hacienda set, and their choice of actions, wardrobe and props to symbolize each member's take on Red and Passion in the context of a fiery breakup song.
