I am that friend. I used to not be but now I am. I am a place holder, so say you're friend moves away or you move away from that one friend. I'm that person that you hang out with so that whoever that friends who moved away or you moved away from comes back you will have that time and energy all carved out. You won't have gotten used to not having anyone to hang out with and so found others hobbies or whatever. No u drop me and slip that other person neatly in my place. I've had this done to me countless times from guys in dating to fields in friends with. I even had one friend ask me A GIANT HARRY POTTER FAN. what movie it was I talked about wanting so she could go but it for her other friend for Christmas even though in the 15+years we have been friends she has not once gotten me a birthday or Christmas present. Our the time I was really close with this one girl like sisters and get old best friend she had to leave behind when she moved here came to live here in our town. Less than a month later they all moved away and never even told me... And that same scenario happen with the harry Potter movie girl to only she didn't move away she just stopped seeing me at all. I've had one guy dump me them marry someone else two months later 3 times!!!! One guy brought his ex wife to live with him AS I was moving out we had broken up two HOURS earlier. So yeah I'm that friend in real sure why I'm even here to be totally honest. I'm the real life version of those guys who are paid to wait in line for ppl on black Friday.
