In case you don't know, the blade accounts for 80% of how the racket plays. The rubbers only account for 20%. So, knowing the blades is way more informative. Knowing the types of rubber (inverted, short pips, long pips, anti) is all that actually matters anyway.

@@BiscoWhorubbers matter more than the blade,u can have an alc,slow,control etc etc,js the combination makes whatever style is best for your style,but knowing the opponent's rubber is most important due to the feeling and what style u can tell they immediately play with.

I want to know who taught this kid how to chop and who taught him the footwork of choppers because they CLEARLY had no idea what they were doing. This kid could be so much better, and I mean that he could probably reach the highest level before long, if he understood 3 main things: 1. You need to back up to where you can hit the chops when the ball is BELOW the waist as much as possible and you should be hitting them with your backhand as much as possible. This way, you can hit them with as much spin as possible AND the trajectory will be as low over the net as possible. 2. You should try to hit the chops down the middle (NO ANGLES) as much as possible. This makes it more difficult for the opponent to move you around left and right because they have to create angles with an incoming underspin ball AND it gives you the highest margin for error. And 3. Chopping is about PATIENCE. You're defending. You're waiting for them to screw up and miss. You rarely should attack. They have to give you a more than blatant chance to attack in order for you to attack and when you attack it should just be one kill shot from you and that's it.

Yh no the best defenders are the ones who can attack
@BiscoWho Жыл бұрын
@@MrRowan-sd8eb Yeah, and WHEN do they ever attack?...When they force the other player to play very specific shots. And that's professional too. At the amateur level, you need to just defend the best you can because your opponents are not professionals and they will miss much more easily.

And he has no forehand + he's ugly to watch playing. I mean most defenders are.

@@BiscoWho I don't think you realise how high level these players are. The beast has been top 10-15 in the UK. I think the dane is the same standard. They are very close to pro level. Joseph Hee took darius knight former england no 3 to the final set, he's probably a top 15 standard in the UK. Your advice of not having to attack might make sense if we were talking about local league or maybe even low division British league players, But not at this standard.
