As always,you two have literally knocked it outta the park - excuse the pun. Shame about the incident,but still a great upload. All along that area of the West coast is stunning,and those waterfalls are great (you guys werent too far off the second waterfalls). I have many mates out there at Piha,mostly musos, so when the levels drop (or traffic lights as they are gonna be known),you'll have to pop along to one of the many gigs they have out there at the RSA,or Piha Bowling club,many local bands from Piha and Auckland have awesome gigs there,so when lockdown changes,expect an invite - the music's awesome,the locals are awesome,and the afterparties are awesome.

my ex and I were there in 1979 before the road was even paved and there were no car parks or signs to speak of. All of a sudden we were at these magnificent falls and this beautiful deserted beach with a small place to get snacks. It will be locked forever in my memory as magical.

Ooooh yay, I really enjoyed your Auckland mini series, and as cool as the road trip was that interrupted it, I'm pleased to see it back (and also love the intro song for it too - I missed that!) The 1st waterfall was stunning and agreed, nice that it was close to the car park. Usually when it's that close, there's a million people there. Had no idea those 2nd falls were pronounced kitty kitty. I've seen it written a few times before but thought it was 'kite' like, 'lets go fly a kite' 🤦‍You might not have been able to share the falls, but I certainly learnt something new!

Eels are scary. A pilot friend told me of an eel that got loose from its box on a flight. A squeal got the flight deck door opened. The eel got in and got very aggressive. The crash axe took its head off. And a cleaner was required at the destination. Much explaining. Shame about Subie. Car drama I know it well. Cheers guys.

@@DaneAndStacey very much so. He also told me of engine failures. Sucking a fox into the engine on takeoff. The pilots window not locked and opening on rotate. Emergency return but so much wind could not hear anything. Flight attendant dropped coffee into the instruments and short circuit the electronics. A plane VH-CZF a 737-300 stood for Charlie Zulu F****d. It always had so many faults. On pushback a 767 he was in command of, ran over A ground controller. He died. So much we spoke of. I am an Av geek. Lucky I am not afraid to fly. My plane from Darwin to Melbourne sucked in birds both engines. No flame out. We went back to Darwin to clean the engines. All true guys.
