"Absolute chaos" | Upper Yough

I remember running the Upper Yough as a kid but it had been way too long since I got the chance to run it. I decided I couldn't pass up the chance and rallied up after a sweet weekend at the Gauley. I had only planned on the one lap but once I finished the first day, it was too good not to stay for a another one. So many fun moves to hit down the entire run, just non stop playing. The craziest thing was just how crowed the river was, which might be the most people I have ever seen condensed in such a small run. The best part of the day was seeing the absolute chaos and carnage at National falls, made the whole trip worth it just with that. I definitely won't wait 13 years to go back again.

I ran the Upper Yough years ago after only running the Nantahala, before the Ocoee. I don't recommend that progression. Two ugly swims.
