Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living outside the Philippines due to job assignment. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my KZbin Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club president and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
WHAT IS THE GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others may actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
I have come to a point of trying to find a greater purpose in life, something beyond just being happy for a moment. Happiness in life is more meaningful if we choose to be useful, be honorable, be compassionate, and make a difference.

I really appreciate your reaction. You gave a very detailed and professional appraisal of Daneliya's performance. She is the best …. If you go to her KZbin account, you will find a slew of new offerings by Daneliya. They are all great. She released about 10 videos as an on-line concert. I think she did this for her fans, because she, like all other performers, have had to postpone any live concerts due to the Covid-19 worldwide pandemic.

Hey, Nephi! Daneliya is appearing in the live shows for America's Got Talent, over the next few weeks. Can you please do a few more reactions on her videos? The show and its producers haven't done a lot of publicity for her, as they did for a few other acts - most likely because of COVID and also because she lives in Kazakhstan and isn't available for an immediate appearance. Her fans are trying to get her some exposure, before the voting begins, on her next performance (expected to be 08/18/2020). She has come a long way fast in the last 6 months or so everything has found it's place. Now she just sings you can see how free she is singing. OH, by the way she is just 13, she turns 14 the day before mine in July. I turn 69 so a little age difference. I am glad you picked this one and I'll tell you why, I don't really care for Gaga's stuff and I really didn't like this one in particular. Maybe it was because of that semi-fake deal with Bradley who I don't like at all except as the voice of Rocket. Back to the "romance" I didnt think it was real but Cooper is such an arrogant ass he's on the short-list of my douche Hall of Fame right there with McConaughey another arrogant ass. They both seem slimy to me. Then along comes Daneliya singing a song I hate and forcing me to love it. That is the kind of singer she is. Plus she is everything those guys aren't which is very good. Great reaction. Daneliya has her audition for AGT out. She sings Tears Of Gold by Faousia who is Morracan born but raised in Canada. She is only 19 having a girl of 13 make her song famous.

Daneliya is not a singer like any other. She seems to have an additional layer of expressivity, that allows her to switch easily in very different vocal modes in milliseconds. Her cover of „Not About Angels“ (Birdy) made me recognize this trait.

I cannot tell you how much I HATED this song because of all the Bradley (nobody loves me more than me) Cooper luvs Gaga B.S.. I didn't think much of Cooper before this, I think less of him now. I wasn't much of a Gaga fan and her antics. I have to admit she writes a great song and she has a bunch of them. It would be interesting to see what would happen if she started writing for Daneliya who can and does weave you into her singing of the song she is giving voice to at the moment. I've never felt as compelled to let myself sink into a song as when Daneliya sings it. With the possible exception of Angelina Jordan, who also makes you part of the song. And the scary thing is Daneliya keeps getting better. Her voice is maturing like an expensive wine. It's getting so much richer and fuller. Her control over her instrument is remarkable for someone so young. I don't know if you have watched her performance of 'Bored' yet, it is a sublime performance, that leaves you in tears it is so beautifully done. I am so looking forward to her future performances on AGT. I had to write about her again. Though I don't do her justice, I love her and pray all her dreams come true.
