Akane had actually gone through the most changes from her first beta design. Her talent was the SHSL Criminal instead of SHSL Gymnast. I do think that talent should have stayed according to her backstory. She was also planned to be the antagonist of SDR2:GD. So mabye Nagito and Akane had their places switched. The first Hajime’s design does fit his “rudeness”. In the original Japanese version of the game. Hajime says “Sore wa chigau zo!” Rather than “Sore wa chigau yo!” Which is a more rude version of No that’s wrong! The first design is a good representation of his sarcastic yet grounded personality but lacks his respect for Hope’s Peak and its talented individuals.

8:37 I think I know why Komaeda's beta design looked so much like Naegi, it's because Komaeda was originally supposed to be like the "dark" version of Naegi. they have the same hope, just largely different perspectives. Komaeda both loves and hates Junko, he loves her because with every despair inducing act she does, there is a new chance for hope,yet he hates her for all the despair she causes. While Naegi hates Junko for all the despair she has caused for his friends, and for the world. (Side note, the letters in "Nagito Komaeda" can be rearranged to "Naegi Makoto Da" which means "I am Makoto Naegi." Coincidence? I think not!)
