Gawd I love Chiaki, Hell I LOVE this pairing! For multiple reasons really, for one their interactions with each other are SOOO CUTE, (as evidenced by this video) secondly I really love how Hajime and Chiaki complement each other so well, Chiaki's the calm to Hajime's storm, when he's all worked up, she's able to calm him down, when he's stuck she's able to help him through it! While Hajime on the other hand is the sort of guide for Chiaki's naive nature, being able to look after her while still being able to teach her about the world. And every step of the way learning a little more about her as well.(Prolly part of the reason why i love Makoto x Aigis so much) And the cherry on top of this duo of sweetness, they look so GOD DAMN ADORABLE together, I swear it's enough to make any manly guy squeal like a fangirl! Sorry for the wall of text, tangent over, I just couldn't resist! Heehee! X3 Carry on and enjoy this 25 minutes of cuteness!

SPOILERS Not to mention that they are both created technically. I mean Hajime is a human but his "avatar" self was created by the Future foundation using past memories. It wasn't the original Hajime before he entered the academy, just a version of him. So technically, he isn't a legit human, but unlike Chiaki (who had no former memories and no past life as a human), he had a body to re-upload himself into. A tthe end of the game, both characters were in danger of disappearing and being complementary characters, Chiaki wholeheartedly accepted her inevitable disappearance, but the possibility of Hajime being erased made him snap. I mean, seriously. I started shipping them after the 5th trial (not before that because the story was getting intense and I was too busy crying over Sonia and Gundham) and their free time moments sealed the deal to me.

She wanted to be there for him because she firmly believed that even if she could never escape, he certainly had to. And yet, knowing that he felt real love for her... must have helped her muster the courage to do what she did. According to Kodaka, the Chiaki who appeared to help Hajime during Chapter 6 of Danganronpa 2 didn't feel like the same Chiaki who appeared during most of the game, giving him the idea of another, different Chiaki her real life counterpart. I mean they did choose to live on jabberwock at the end of… hope arc, was it? Also some other secret animes like the Japanese release for v3 only showed that they all survived afterwards so if he REALLY wanted to he could go find her after the neo world was rebooted. Also yeah, I wish chiaki was an actual human and that she didn’t get clapped in the anime but it makes SDR2 that much more impactful. Lets 15 of them survive but the one that “dies” hits the hardest. Masterfully made game, best out of the Danganronpa trilogy and in my top 5 games of all time.

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR BOTH GAMES By her "father," does Chiaki mean Chihiro from the first game, the programmer who is implied to have programmed her as an artificial intelligence? Chihiro is her creator, and he's dead by this point in time, so it makes sense that she'd talk about him in the past tense, and as though she didn't interact with him directly. I also have to wonder if the reference to the puzzle Chiaki's father made but couldn't solve without the help of a program suggests that Chihiro was responsible for the encryption program on the files the group was decoding in the first game, a task for which he created Alter Ego. It's indicated that the students were the ones who had installed the metal plates to turn Hope's Peak Academy into a shelter, so I wonder if Chihiro also helped out by coding files.

There's a lot of nice foreshadowing in these Free Time Events. *"Why does everything she says about her father sound like hearsay?"-Because she never actually met him in real life. *"It seems like Chiaki knows a lot about programming=So did Chihiro. *Chiaki's desire to learn new things=a trait shared with Alter Ego, another of Chihiro's creations.

My little brother, who got me into this series, says that Chiaki is his least favorite character in the series. He said that, while she's not exactly bad, she has very little good about her. He also said that she does more hand-holding than Kyoko does in the first game, which he absolutely hated, so that might be part of the reason he doesn't like her.

there is no way hajime doesn't have some form of feelings towards Chiaki. When he sees Chiaki in her swimsuit, he literally says "that's what I said, but really my heartbeat is getting faster and faster." whilst he doesn't say this about the other characters. then the scene at 18:11, when chiaki falls into his arms. he is literally getting heart palpitations just from that. it's adorable. Hajime and Chiaki as a pairing have my whole heart. they're so cute.

its not dangerous in Danganronpa. Noone who thought of killing someone killed the centerpieces of the Trial or those who are easy targets. They all just killed the persons they didnt like. Or those who were next to them in the heat of the moment. Only exceptions are Celeste in part 1 and she just killed random people too, Peko who took "revenge" and Gundham who picked the one who could defend himself and wasnt really human anymore.

They wouldn't have killed her, she's literally the symbol of their hope, they would never even think about doing it, also like how noone really wants to kill Hajime because he's just really nice and helps a lot during trials. You just can't kill those two.
