Fun fact, the Danganronpa team won't leave poor Korekiyo alone. Kore means 'close to', or 'near'. It could be used to say 'mine' or 'where are you' Kiyo typically means a female relative, but is more closely used as 'sister', or even 'babysitter' His last name, Shinguuji, roughly translates to 'palace' or 'temple' You know how people call their body their 'temple'? Korekiyo's name literally fucking means 'This is my sister's body'.

Fun fact, a vast amount of these names are actually mistranslated. The kanji in their names actually mean something much different, like Toko (冬子) actually means “winter child”, or Kyoko (響子), which means “noise/loud clash, (like a thunderclap or sudden burst of noise) child”, or even Ibuki (唯吹), which means “brief whistle/a slight blow (in the breathing sense)”. These are just a few to name, but there are certainly more mistranslations in the video. I’m actually quite surprised Byakuya and Hifumi’s names was translated correctly. Others are just plain jokes (such as Mondo’s being butter). I wish this video was done better because it spreads quite a bit of misinformation. Side note, Japanese names really are quite poetic.

@@Crisp1Chip Mukuro’s first name isn’t actually written in Kanji, so I can’t say for sure. However, the default translation/closest we can assume for Kanji, 躯, would indeed mean (often referred to as a corpse/lifeless) body . Hope that helps a bit!
