38:04 I think what makes this scene so disturbing is the heavily distorted music in the background near the end. (Don’t get me wrong, there were lots of disturbing scenes in this game). That mixed with the despair-inducing images and the subtle creaking of the human “puppets” really makes you see what awful things these children have done. Not to mention they see most of it as just a mere game. Remember that these were the same group of kids that were playing with a deceased BODY on live television AND worked with the one and only Junko Enoshima. And I’m not gonna lie, when I first saw that clip it very much did put me on edge (or it may just be me being a baby lmao). Definitely filled me with despair. :/
