After seeing what kind of a person Gonta is, can anyone really blame Ouma for wanting this nice guy around? No, not just for the fact that he was easy to trick, but that when you talk to him, it heals your soul in a way! I think being around Gonta made Ouma himself more at ease, even with things going to the point where he was going to events in Chapter 4. *SPOILERS* yes, even when he made him revealed as the culprit.
